Diablo III [PC/Mac/PS4/PS3/360]

Pretty shocking there's no thread on this.

Diablo III was announced a few weeks back during Blizzard's convention in Paris. Screenshots are readily available on the internet. The estimated and entirely unconfirmed release is back-end 2009.

They've been working on that for ages. I really am looking forward to this game!

I acquired Diablo II the other day; nostalgia!

This will be the greatest game ever made at the time it hits the shelves imo...

It'll take a World of Warcraft like grip over the gaming community, unless blizzard do something stupid like realise it around the time they do starcraft 2.

Ideally they'll give a semi-concrete release date for StarCraft II during the event. Liking the red Blizzard logo at the start of the movie. Nice atmospheric music too.

I loved Diablo II! I was addicted to it for years. I even had a short term affinity for the original Diablo. And as thus I cannot wait for Diablo III!

Anyone heard anything regarding whether it may, or may not, be made available on consoles, namely the PS3? I currently don't have a PC, and there are no games really calling out for me to aquire one. Although I may get a new PC in the coming weeks, but nothing is set in stone, yet.

I don't know...but out of pure selfishness, I would like it not to be. I want a good PC gaming experience that will not be restricted because of console limitations.

Blizzard traditionally don't make games for consoles.

Diablo 2 was pure gaming genius man, I loved that game!!

They mustve been working on this for years, if so, this should be a VERY polished game indeed!

Credit where it's due, I've returned to this after 18 months and the improvements are vast. The new Loot 2.0 system is excellent - within just two hours of play every single item I had has been replaced at least once by something vastly superior and it gives you a reason to keep playing. The main game's acts (1 to 4) should still have been better but the various improvements are a big step in the right direction.

I'm not quite sure where this leaves the expansion, Reaper of Souls, however. One new class, one new act and "Adventure Mode" are good but not worth the price (£29.99 in the UK).

Also, having been released on PS3 and 360 a few months ago, it is due for PS4 as well.
