I've got my tactics sussed out for one part of the map:

If I start by the stairs (with the kar98k and the gewehr), I use the pistol for the first round, steal heads with the kar98k from then on for about two rounds, then I use the gewehr until it gets too much. Then I go upstairs, somebody gets the opening in the balcony with the planks whereas i'm inside defending the hallway with the Gewehr, the Thompson and some Bouncing Bettys.

Then we advance through the door towards the power room, pick up a trench gun in place for the Gewehr, and if I have enough, the STG44 for the Thompson. Then if we have enough we open the power room, and then buy double tap in the hallway. Back to the balcony spot, but now we have the electricity to put those elctro barriers up. By then we are usually dead.

DILKINGTON!
Well normally I've been staying the the bottom room until around level 5 using the Gewher to build some points up to open all the doors to the power room and to stock up on some bettys and guns. But once we get up there we just get over run by them!

Last night I was in a game and I was boarding up the window at the bottom of the stairs in the power room. I turned round and there was about 20 zombies coming at me and I couldn't do anything!!

I think the balcony option with the electric fence seems the best bet. Will give that a try tonight!

Also the leaderboards seem to be fucked up. My mate is 24th in the world despite having less points and kills than me! We were in the same game when he got that score as well!

Ive got to level 14 but that was when one of the other players suggested that we do this the way he has, so I havent got a plan myself, but Ill be on it tonight so Ill report back with my say. I usually get the Gewher to start off like and waste the bullets in the handgun before any serious threats. Do you's let in the last zombie to kill and then pick up the reward? (Full Ammo etc)

Took me ages to notice that there was a door downstairs below the Random box in that Power Room :faceplm:

I'm sure some of you will know this by now, but if you dont, a handy tactic is to try and cook a grenade and throw it at what you think is the last zombie of the round, if done correctly the zombie should be a crawler, and you then have time to repair, get weapons/ammo, get perks, set up camp etc.

Thats a good idea.

When I play it these days I usualy try, if possible, to keep the last zombie on the outside of the baracade while holding 'X' and we all take our turns so we can get perks and so on. Its annoying when you get a fucker who goes ahead and kills him.

Nah, best thing is to just let them in and take their legs out, works 75% of the time. Then you can all just run off rebuidling and preparing. It's essential, to be honest, given that the zombies are too quick on the new map, you're fucked if you're caught trying to get a random weapon when the round starts, I should know.

Them legless zombie are still very quick, thats why I use the window idea to keep them at bay. Ill agree with you about the Random Weapon at the start of a round... Nightmare.

The forum to where people post and use the glitches in the online multiplayer and also Nacht der Untoten/Verruckt. I was on having a look at the Leaderboards about twenty minutes ago and I noticed that there were alot of people were over 1,000 levels. To be anything around/over 20 is unbelievable, let alone the hundreds.

The one on top of the list is WTF SEAN, and he's currently on the forum, started a thread wanting us to file complaints against the man in second 'philthecamper'. I got to level 13 just now and it took ages and was hard enough.

Why cheat? Its not your achievement at the end of the day!

Never buying a Treyarch game again. I buy the map pack hoping that I will be able to play Zombie Verruckt. No.

I'm not the only one, so why have they not fixed this yet?

I've tried looking for answers everywhere, but have had no such luck. The multiplayer maps work fine and so does the co-op campaign, it's just zombie mode that doesn't work. Saying that, I managed to get a game on Nacht der Untoten last night, but it was a one off. Every time my friends play it if im round theirs, they find matches with about 10 seconds, 20 at the most whereas I just sit there waiting for 10 minutes before giving up.

When you go into the lobby, try pressing X and changing your preferences, that should help I think. Come to think of it, sometimes it takes mines a bit to get into a game aswell, but mainly when Im in a party with a mate or two. Most times, its down to the preferences, I always make mines 'Default' for Zombie games and 'Local' for the other maps.

You have to pass the game I think to get to play the zombies, but I could be wrong.

X meaning square? (Im on PS3)

I didn't know of any preferences. I've passed the game too but theres ALSO another glitch which fucks up my game save so I cannot mission select to do zombie mode via the story even if I wanted to play on my own. Luckily i've found a way around that, but where's the fun in playing on your own :p

I've only ever been in about 3 zombie games with 4 others, and all of them were on the original level. However I have tried many times, and the success rate is too low for it to be 'unlucky' not finding matches.

I give up tbh, theres no way around it.

I don't really like this but I went on today as I'm starting to get a little tired of 4 and I managed to get a 25 kill streak in the first game, I've only got about 300 kills overall.

Surprisingly I'm in the same boat as Top Gun, COD4 was amazing but now the maps are starting to get slightly tiresome after constant play for over a year. I'm definitely starting to appreciate COD5 more, with the more atmospheric feel to it. I love the single shot rifles too, they sound quality to fire and the reload is a delight to listen to as well. It's just a shame that they're quite difficult to use in a lot of situations considering a lot of fully-automatic weapons can reach across many maps, putting the single shot rifles at a slight disadvantage.

Just realised that it's Double XP Weekend, so I may as well make the most of it since I'm only Rank 30, and that's without ever prestiging.

On another note, are the downloadable maps actually worth downloading ? Just wondering since I seem to be getting into this more. As for Nazi Zombie mode, it doesn't bother me to be honest, I've played it a few times but I'd rather just play online against people from across the world - I find it more satisfying and unpredictable.

I think the new maps are good, I especially like Knee Deep. There's that, Station and Nighfire. It's overpriced but still really isnt that much.
