1) I took a look in the background and watched the gameplay running in the background whilst that japanese guy was talking bollocks, it didnt look that different from 2009 to be honest, but who knows.

I noticed that as well. It looked to me that the players are still changing direction at 45 degree, which only means one thing. The dreaded 8-directional movement is still there.

As some members said, we'll have to wait and see.

Someone said the left monitor was sped up and following the ball camera. This allows them to run many matches per day looking for bugs. It has also been confirmed by PSM3 that the gameplay is slower than pes2009, but we have to wait and see. I am very optimistic though lighting looks excellent and the kit on messi look amazing, close up graphics have surpassed Fifa this year, lets hope they can improve wide cam for release, otherwise i may adapt and play in a slightly closer view

The speed doesnt mean anything to me, we are talking about the player movement, and the ball was just going back and forth with players running all over the place.

Again, we shall see, but it looks alot like PES2009.

It seems to be good old 8 directions also.

Both games do it, so if they do it better, thats cool.

But EA custom tactics wasnt their top feature in 2009 as far as im aware.

And custom tactics has alot more options than the pes 2010 sliders.

But we shall see which one works better.

Yeah, watched that shit with the sound down, I mean, yeah, visually, the sliders and cards looked good.

But then I think "Fucking hell, is this what they have been pissing about with for the last 2 years, a tactics gage and fucking playing cards?"

Then I look in the background when that Tanaka bloke is talking, and see 11 men wizzing around as the ball flies all over the place, and think, 'thats PES 2009' all over again.

Hmmmmm

50/50 on this one, some of it looks okay, but that fucking game running in the background doesnt look hot at all. But who knows.

Yes I'm afraid of this too.It will be unbealiveable if KONAMI won't change the gameplay.Man,even Winning Eleven 9 has better gameplay, much better, incredible ball physique, player movements and all that stuff. In PES 2009 the ball is glued to player leg instead of bouncing(take example from FIFA where the ball has a good physique).

Hey guys Im new here!!! I just wanted to say that there are some very ingnorant people on this thread judging the games animations upon viewing a small screen that we couldnt really see well.

And have all of you forgotten that they have stated that the game is %50 percent complete when it comes to the games animation etc.?

I know we are all pissed at the last two instalments and there lack of features and lackuster online play but I have a feeling this will be the next-gen pes game we have all been waiting for and if it is not I will stop supporting konami and will never buy another pes game since the last two were very dissapointing and basically the 3rd would seal the deal EA would start to get more of my money I say more because I bought fifa 08 and 09 in search of stable online play and got it so simply put this is your last chance to win your fans back konami because as of now the pes series is getting very stale...

I completely agree with you!

How can anyone make a judgement on what they have seen so far amazes me!

The level of ignorance is on the level that i cannot even relate to :shocking:

Good stuff and yea that view is far too small to pass judgement. I really do think they'll nail animation and AI this time around can't wait to see official gameplay footage.

Correction,

You cant see it well,

To me, you can clearly see 8 directional movement, players scrambling around, you another thing I noticed, I think... in PES the players dont move at varied speeds off the ball, its like they have 2 speeds, stop and sprint. (guess which game changed this for 2010).

50% build or not, and to be honest, I dont believe this 50% build bollocks coming from Konami, when they only thing they will add to the game is the kits and player animations, the rest seems done.

Not saying its not a step forwards, but it's not that great.

^ok, ok, please stop the bashing now. I am sick and tired. Judge when you play or at least see a gameplay movie that is of HD quality. I don't mean any insults but really, I hate judging.

When it suits you,

You contradict yourself all the time, please stop

"Oh you cant judge the games till they come out"

Then its

"Oh the these tactics sliders are amazing"

"Game is looking good"

Etc.

*Yawn*, they have made steps forwards, but this isnt anything that innovative, player cards and a tactics gage doesnt address the core issues PES has.

It seems like a tweaked game, thus the comments.
