Normal level to Pro... JOKE

I usually always start the new game on Normal then go to Pro.
Was using Normal and was winning by about 5-0 everytime so moved up to Pro and the difference is ridiculous!! It's actually ruining the game for me, I know it's not meant to be easy but the step up is way too much.
Anyone else find this?

yet? Ive been playing pro evo since it began!

I know i'm not the best but have always been around Pro level, my point is it seems way harder and the diff between the two is silly.

Ok, I'm playing with Aberdeen but then I'm playing in the SPL which should make up for that! lol. I beat Hamilton 7-0 this afternoon on Normal and now i'm struggling to beat Falkirk!

Maybe it takes time mate.. Since you're playing in the SPL i assume you've created the teams yourself, and therefore i don't know how good they are..
But it could have something to do with this..

SPL is option file from here.
I've found the same using Man U, been playing and enjoying it for years, just a bit gutted.
I'll keep at it, not goin online anytime soon lol

When i got the game last week i started a ML on regular with liverpool and i was winning like by 5 or 6 goals,so i moved up to pro and started a new ML.i found it very annoying at first as i could not win the ball, but i kept with it for a few days.
12 games in and my record is W8 L3 D1,thats 9 prem league games 2 champion league games and 1 league cup.the only thing that i worry about is player fatigue as you need your best players against most teams.
Try different tactics such as formation and use the apply pressure during game play.

no offence but i know people that have played it longer than me but they just cant play good football not everyone can be great il admit i lost my first 3 games in the master league but afterwards i got use to the new gameplay system including the fact the refs blind to all fouls the comp commits but thats another matter i mean how exactly are you playing your game?? are you dribbling alot or passing alot? and like the guy above said change formation and tactics im now on my 8th tactic which i seem to be doing good at just keep tweaking each match and try to play a clever game..

no offence taken, just glad to get any tips! I'll keep at it as I only got the game on Sat so still gettin used to it, feels different to 2009.

I would love to tell you how i'm playing but i just cant get the ball for any length of time on Pro level.

Just tried Man U again on Normal and beat Wolves 7-0, it just seems real easy on Norm mode. I can mark them all and get the ball for most of the game. AAARGH

Just need a lot of pratice and patient. PES2010 is much different to the previous PES in that you can't dribble past players or easier to hold on to the ball in midfield. Also all your passes must be precise, in previous PES my friends who don't play PES can pass the ball easily around the field, in this you can't.

Though this game really annoyed me at first things are getting easier and the new ML and option files avaliable makes it a very good game.

I'd say if you just picked up the game on Saturday, you should definitely spend some more time getting used to Pro before throwing your hands up in defeat. The problem with playing on Regular level for too long is that you develop some really bad habits. For instance, on Regular, it's way too easy to sprint past defenders, so you can get away with using sprint almost all the time. Then when you move to Pro or Top Player, you really can't get away with that as much.

I wouldn't consider myself a great player. This is the first year I've ever played PES. I played on Regular for the first couple of days I had the game, but switched to Pro because Regular was becoming way too easy. It's definitely a big jump in difficulty, but it's hardly insurmountable. In my first season of ML with Chelsea (with all matches on Pro level, at 20 to 30 match length), I've got 9 wins, 1 draw, and no losses. Now if a PES newbie like me can do it, I'm sure you can as well.

I'd much rather have it this way than for the higher difficulties to be too easy -- the game would get boring.

The difference is not small. I know. But this was a problem with pes 4, 5 and 6 aswell. From regular to professional (or from 3 star to 4 or 5 stars) the difficulty changes aren't small. That's the way it is. This year. Its the same.

Just my 2c

Don't play on anything lower than Top Level.

I used to play on regular / amateur (2/3 star thing) all the time, as one of my mates used to play at that level, and he got me into the game.

Since I bought my Xbox360, and got PES2009 straight away, I started playing on the same level. Then moving up to the higher levels was really frustrating.

One day I just decided, screw this, I'm gonna start playing at Top Player for everything, and did.

I haven't looked back.

Just got with the highest level of difficulty, and stick with it, it forces you to play well.

My passing moving, scoring, defending (well not in 2010) has gotten so much better, and I won;t play on any level lower than Top Player now.

Sure, some games are still quite difficult, even against crap team (I was Liverpool, and couldn't beat Portsmouth no matter what I tried lol) but its much more fun.

So thats my advice - just play at Top Player, struggle with it for a short time, and don't look back. You'll thank me for it :)

I totally agree, I started playing on top level. on master league and BAL both I can win games!! but its boooooorrrrrinnnggg!!! It plays so bad on levels above regular! Yeah every one can say your not good enough blah blah rubish! played evey game from sensible soccer up to date! it doesnt play smooth on levels above Regular! and Regular is far too easy!!

So I decided either play on a lower level and actually play some small amounts of decent football or play on the highest level and smash the **ing **it out of my controller!! again!!

for me its not about winning just playing some nice football ( which seems to be near impossible on 2010, unless playing with your mates!)

err you can play great football on top player. im doing a prem with arsenal and have scored some great passing goals. there are times you will get comfortably beaten and more often than not the computer will dominate possession but if you know how to play the game well it's really rewarding

but if you know how to play the game well it's really rewarding

great thats solved it!
im not playing it right!

lol

come on this is one of the most frustrating versions of pes!!
i know how to play it!
Its just dull and boring this year!
BAL better get better coz thats all i played last year the only decent playing part of the game and so far im not impressed!

the button delay is so very much getting on my tits. and some times the players take so long to shoot they deserve to be taken out!!
then the passing when i was really tackling but now got the ball and it passes with out me pressing anything because it was from the tackle earlier! come on.

Maybe ive lost all my knowledge, skill and abilities of the last 10 years of playing pro evo over night!! (or due to the increase of alcohol consumption in the last 10 years lol)

simononestop - the button delay has been an annoying part of PES for some years now - at least since 2008. I bloody hate when you pressed to tackle, but then the COM passes, and a random player of yours slides.

But for shooting - the delay is mostly down to the players stride. You can;t just shoot when you ant to, you have to be positioned correctly, just like real football.

i.e player is in full stride (right footer), so the player cannot shoot until:
A - the ball is under or near his body and;
B - his left foot is on the ground so he can shoot with his right.

This is the opposite for left footers, or indeed shooting off your left foot, you just have to keep an eye on it, take your finger of run for a second, eh? ;)

yeah I know this is the case, thats why pro evo has always been so good so realistic (or better game) you have to wait for the ball to drop etc but this version is seems worse how much of a stride do these guys need some times!

Just going back on now to 'train' lol!
Some interesting points, will give Top level a go. Think I've only ever tried it once years ago.

On a plus point I love that you can smash the ball more accurately from further back now! Always had to do it on the bounce in the past but seem to be able to just kick it now and most of the time it heads for goal at a good pace.

I play in top player (ESTRELLA) with UDINESE in the Serie A...

In my firts season end in 10th place... Now i am 2nd behind Inter win 12 draw 5 and loose 3.

I play with normal medium camera...and for me everything is related to the new gameplay... dont run everytime, you need to use your tactics sliders and strategy for every game and opponent, during the match...learn to deal with the delay in the shoots on goal and the "blind" refs...

These is not 2009 when you pick a skilly player and pass to the open goal.
