Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has revealed the content for the latest free update for its PES 2011 title.



The update will be automatically downloaded from 24th November, and adjusts the defender AI to allow for more consistent pressing from various situations and includes a series of alterations based on feedback from users. The difficulty and success rate of Rainbow Flicks has been adjusted to improve gameplay, while throw-ins can now be passed back to the taker. Cursor switching has been generally been improved including situations when the ball is crossed, while the way transfer fees are calculated in Master League has been reworked. Names above CPU players can also now be switched off as they mimic player settings. Shooting has also be tweaked to produce more realistic reactions and results depending on real-time situations.



Some chants within the game have also been refined or changed, and PC owners using relatively low-spec machines will also be able to find matches more easily within the game’s Legends mode.

Looking forward to this, just hope they haven't over simplified shooting love the new shooting system. I only registered for online for patches so its good to finally have a patch worth being online for. Anyone know whether we will have to start ML again?

I think it's the best shooting has been in a while and most realistic. In the recent past I think shooting was okay, but too easy-kind of like what you want and what FIFA is...so I hope they don't give in to the arcadey types on this.

This, many factors to consider this year when striking the ball. I like FIFA's manual shooting but PES almost has it nailed, the individuality is well ahead of fifa in terms of shooting.

agree, i had some problems with it at first but after a few games i think its great so lets hope they don't mess that up too much.

good news, rainbows are too easy... i hope they also switched back the feints to R2, R3 sucks, this is the first time playing pes on playstation that i have to use that bloody stick

The shooting is okay but what is the point of a power bar if you can only tap the shoot button or else it goes miles over?

I´m not talking about shooting from 40 meters with a defender, if I´m running with someone like Ronaldo or Zlatan I should be able to fill the power meter around 75% and have a really hard shot at goal. Right now if you see a bit of orange in the power bar its going into the 2nd ring of the stadium.

the shooting mod' is going to sort out them stupid bicycle kicks from 30yards out after a corner has been cleared apart from that the shooting is spot on..dont sprint and shoot and think about the player that has the shot...

yes.

if i cant feel how hard i shot i want to see how hard i shot.
shoting is good but can be better with powerbar and when u closer to goal.and manual too.

and yes,cant wait too try new patch how much is good

there is something wrong with the shooting accuracy or its just the fact that its scripted. I usually have close to 20 shots on goal but most of the time it results in 1 or 2 goals which are not even from clear shots but off of rebounds.
