FIFA gets better.
PES gets worse.
Even the biggest of us PES fan boys must accept that.
What happens once FIFA sorts its detection system out properly and its shooting out? Whilst PES makes it shooting into an abomination!
Evolve or die!
Therefore PES deserves to DIE!
Yes, well, you're not entirely wrong here. But PES does not get worse, and it is evolving. Not all evolution is positive though.
To anyone who plays football. Try sprinting full speed with the ball, unless your fat and/or very slow, you will not be able to keep the ball close to you and if you try to change direction whilst at full pace either the ball will fly off and/or something in your legs will snap.
Now try running at full pace or even just fast and try to cross the ball and see what happens? I predict either you fall over and snap something or you scuff the ball pathetically and do a pea roller of a cross. Try using your wrong foot - if you can cross with you opposite foot, at full pace, then you really should be a footballer at the highest level.
Have you ever watched Walcott etc trying to cross at pace?
Anyway i think this is the least of PES's worries now.
- I can run near full speed with the ball and do 25% turns, anything more than that will make me lose speed. I don't have brittle bone disease, however, like the person you're describing.
- I can cross at full speed, so can you unless you're vision impaired. Accuracy suffers, but about 6 of 10 is decent enough. And I don't fall, because I am actually able to twist my leg enough to cross, and then continue my run until I stop. Eye coordination is a nice car... no wait??
- I can use my left foot almost as good as the right foot. This is a result of inborn ability and training. A highly individual feature in other words. More speed results in lower accuracy, but it's still doable at full speed. I am also able to twist my left leg enough for a cross before continue running.
- Walcott is a poor example, because he is all pace and hardly no technique.
Speed Merchant is a bit over the top, but a decent or better defender controlled by a pretty decent human player can stop a Speed Merchant relatively easy in most cases. Poorer teams struggle against speed merchants, and the better the speed merchant, the harder it is. I personally struggle more against teams that use teamwork than individual skills. The same goes for human opponents.
Messi's performance in CL last night is a good example, he toyed with the defenders and should probably had 2-3 penalties during that game. That's why Speed Merchant is what it is in PES too. Maybe a bit too much, but I can clearly see the idea behind the ability.
