Konami have posted up details of the upcoming 1.02 patch for PES 2012, which will be made available later this month.


Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has outlined the content for a planned update for PES 2012.

Due for release mid-November, the free download is designed to enhance the playing experience for PlayStation(R)3, Xbox 360(R) and Windows PC users.

It adds improved goalkeeper performance, removes the stuttering effect during running, makes small adjustments to the penalty and free-kick systems, and fixes some small bugs that have been reported.

Changes have also been made to the structure of the Game Plan menu, making them easier to navigate and use.

The update is in response to user feedback, and reaffirms KONAMI's commitment to improving PES 2012.​




The team also state that "intensive support" is being given which will allow the update to be made available "as soon as possible".

Big question is how it's midfield play will fair when compared to v 1.0

Does one dare to hope for a version with midfield play as in 1.0 but without the hysteric dribbling that plagues the same version?

Small bugs could be anything! There is just so many little broken things. Haha. And hopefully it will be a proper gk fix. I'm guessing the defensive AI of the game will be tweaked abit too.

I want some feedback on this patch guys when it hits, right now having a blast on pre-patch. I tried another setup yesterday and it's the best yet, my 32" Samsung, HDMI, gamespeed +1. Pre patch of course, Top Player. It's taken a month or so but I think I've eventually got PES running and playing like I want. You may think is he crazy having gamespeed at +1 but it's really, really weird, gamespeed on this setup at 0 is quite slow, +1 is absolutely spot on. This really is a weird game this year.

I hope it addresses the shooting and the passing. Then PES 2012 might actually be half way towards being a decent game.

i also hope it'll be like 1.00, not 1.01 because i don't want the computer aiming the shots on 1.01 whenever i shoot

i think the keepers are fine now. Hopefully they slow it down a bit and make it less frantic when using big teams.

It's weird how some people have a problem with shooting and some don't. I myself am perfectly happy with the shooting, it's fine for me.

HOw on GOD's name can you be happy with the game?
It's either you think in real life someone magically controls where you shoot or you have a mutated version of the game or you are playing it on patch 1.00

however, EA tunes madden all the time; its just that they do it so regularly (my game searches on every boot) they don't have to have a big band and fireworks show about it. They also have roster updates weekly.

so the patches could be expected but why not more and faster and more timely roster updates.

yeah the shooting definitely needs major improvements
alot of the shots I take outside the box are either wayward or straight to the keeper, its so frustrating when you try to manually aim when shooting and it goes in the entire opposite direction
I hope konami sort this out, its really holding back a great game
