reading post all around the forum today i realised that a lot of people are complaining about shooting becausethey can not control the placement of the ball well here is some info that might help you guys enjoy this great game

this tips work with any horizontal camera in game

first to shoot always press exactly up or down on your controller depending where you are aiming

horizontal view:

---- < up
l
l
l
---- <down

always aim first before shooting just like in real life

power will decide the height of your shot

go to training in the main menu and practice shooting this is PES not fifa where everybody scores in PES it requires knowledge and skill

now for crossing :

aiming its the same it just depends on where you want to place your cross
lets say you are in the right wing and you want to cross it for the far post just press up fill the power bar to your desired level ,for the near post press down and for the penalty spot just cross without aiming if you want to perform an early cross press and hold L1 and cross using the same aiming techniques

So for shooting you aim either up or down and hope for the best? No wonder ive been shooting straight at the keeper i use angled shots lol\

Thanks btw

My experience of pressing straight up or down is that the shot pretty much always goes wide? Yes, it goes to the side you want, but pretty much always wide?

in my expirience it works quite well and applying it to cross the ball works wonders

Fine post mate, I just honestly don't understand people complain that they always shoot straight at the keeper and then blame the game. I said it enough in previous posts, practice shots in Training Mode if ur not capable of aiming. Same with defending, Messi is not unstoppable, it's just your lack of defensive skills.

Of course getting the right shot depends on many factors, but I have some more advice regarding aiming...

Press the direction after you have inputted the amount of power, go into training and try it, charge the shot up and once you are happy with the desired power press the desired direction firmly and the shot direction should have more consistency. This technique has helped when facing the keeper in a one on one situation. You can also firmly hold the direction whilst powering up your shot but the above method seems to work better. There seems to be different ways of shooting but I am honestly having very few(if any) problems with the shot system, you get the odd time when it feels a bit automated but apart from that I love it.

I agree with S-D-P. I never really thought about it, but I shoot just the way S-D-P describes, and that's also why I never really could understand the complaints about shooting in PES12. Some odd shots are botched, but that's just life.

Yep, playing from left to right, straight up gives a cross to the faaaar post or further, straight right is center of box-ish, and straight down is a short cross, last one hardly ever effective in my eyes. A simple pass is better in those occations imo.

Holding "Switch player" button while pressing cross will make you aim at the striker, or another appropriate player in his position if he's absent (or doing the cross). Or one of them if you got more than one...

I don't get it, on the post it says to cross to the back post, press the 'cross' button until power button until full but there is no power bar until full

Ive taken into consideration what everyone has said about the shooting but it still makes no difference, no matter what I do

And if anyone can prove via a video that they have scored a proper drilled shot low into the bottom corner then id be very surprised

Ive searched the internet for shooting tutorials, Theres 1 shit one and nothing else. there's great defending ones etc but nothing for shooting. That suggests to me that no one is "Confident" in making them and shooting. Im seriously losing my tiny mind over shooting, I have all sorts of weird results, I guess im shite!. Konami do us a favor and make a shooting tutorial

I dont know why they didnt just keep the 1 on 1's exactly the same as 2011, they were fine as they were

The only ridiculous thing was that when being put under pressure you would almost always sky your shots, that needed to be tweaked

One more thing acurracy totally depends on player ratings so dont expect to be scoring a lot of goals with low skilled strikers to me that aspect it's great it just bring more realism to the game it also brings a big sense of acomplishment in master league when scoring important goals

I have played the last 5 ProEvo games. And to be honest , i feel the shooting is broken to some extent. Ive shot many many shoots from inside the box and either roofed the shot or sent it well wide. I know how to aim , Ive aimed for 5 yrs ! i have tried the normal tap of the shoot button and other variations. Say what you may , i don't expect to score every time i shoot from inside the box. But i do expect to hit net at least 80% of the time. Konami needs to refine the shot aiming , thats all im saying ;)

They include an instruction book in the game why?

I've played PES since 2009 and in every game they do such a brillant job explaining how shooting works.

Commonsense would dictate to shoot to the right post push right, left post left, upper right corner diagonal up and right, upper left corner diagonal up and left, etc.

:shocking:
