Best laptop to buy for PES?

Hi guys, i did post this on a different website but got no replies :( maybe because some think it is a stupid question. I also did a search on the forum but no joy. :crymore:

I normally play PES on PS3 but i have recently bought it for PC because of all the patches. Everything is fine but the PC is a bit slower now.

I am thinking of getting a laptop strictly for PES only, no other fancy features. I have checked the specs on the game and have been searching online for good deals. But i get a bit confused with all the specs and graphic cards and other things. :erm:

Plus on the back of the game it says 'Laptop versions of these cards MAY work but are are NOT supported'. So i don't want to make the mistake of getting one which doesn't work.

Can someone please advise me on the best laptop to get (just make and model would be fine), i was hoping to get one which plays the game at it's best not 'minimum requirements'. My budget is about £300 (hoping there will be some sales on).

Thanks

Thanks for the info skickahit10, i do appreciate it :). I'm hoping to get one over the weekend. Do you connect it to your tv or just play on the laptop?

Both. I have a 32" TV that I connect the laptop to with an HDMI-cable, but sometimes I play it on the laptop's screen too.

Ok thanks again.

I have been looking on ebay for a cheap gaming laptop and found one. I looked at some reviews which were positive.

The only problem is that it is about 4 years old. Here are the specs,

"Up for sale I have a gaming Dell XPS M1710 in excellent working order and good cosmetic condition . Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.00GHz with 4096MB cache, 17" UXGA 1900 x 1200 Widescreen, battery ( lasts over an hour), Wi-fi, 2GB 667MHz Ram, dedicated 512 MB NVIDIA GO 7950 GTX Graphics Card, SD Card reader"

Do you think that would be able to play PES2012?

The only thing is i don't think it has a HDMI socket but that's not a major problem.

Sorry for all the questions, i just want to make sure i get the right one.

So anything above and beyond that ought to play fine too.

Hi guys, just to let you know that i just bought a Clevo Gaming Laptop from ebay. Here are the specs,

P8400 processor - 2.26 GHZ
Memory - 4gb ddr3 1066mhz
Graphics Card - 9800m GTX - 1GB onboard video memory
Hard Drive - 160 GB
Screen - 17.1 inch, Resolution 1900 x 1200
Other items -
4 x USB 2.0
DVI output
Hdmi output
Fingerprint scanner
1.3 mp camera
PCI slot
Modem and network cable input

I know it's not wireless but i can download patches the old fashioned way.

I didn't realise how expensive gaming laptop's are

I thought it would be easy to pick one up from PC world for about £300 or something  shows how much i know.

I checked all the specs on a website which erm ,checks specs, and it gave me all green ticks :w00t

Thanks for your help guys ;)

Just an update for anyone that has read this thread, i was supposed to pick up the laptop (previous post) on saturday and i was really getting excited. :cheer:

But the guy texted me last night to say that he had dropped it on the kitchen floor and it's broke  and that he would have to refund me.

Out of desperation :crymore: i have bought a different laptop on ebay.

Here are some of the specs of the new one:

TOSHIBA X300-15T gaming laptop
Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology featuring Intel Core2 Duo processor T9550, Intel PM45 Express chipset
System memory: 8 Gb
Hard disk: 320 Gb
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS supporting TurboCache technology

So i am now looking forward to getting my new (2nd hand) laptop again. :cheer:

I will let you know how it handles PES, for the benefit of anyone that was thinking of buying one.
