Player development and other questions

Hi guys

Started a master league and I was wondering, when do you see player development? I did select the option to have it on. I remember in the older PESs you could see the exp the player earned after a match. It's still early first season (november) but I haven't observed any development yet. Is it slower? Does it kick in at the end of the season or something?

Also, can you do training? I bought some items from the shop thing, one said like +4 defence or something, but I can't seem to do anything with it. I remember in older PESs you could run training sessions to try boost stats, now when I go to training it just lists what your training is geared to.

Also, how to set preset formations? When you go to game plan at the bottom there are like 4 different sets of formations, but only in number 1 can you see your substitution/full squad. I want to set some other formations/tactics under the other numbers whilst keeping default as 1. It's annoying having to manually set tactics each time.

Thanks

I've moved this to the appropriate forum - just have a quick check next time before making a thread, as we have different sub-forums for the relevant discussions. This thread has been moved into the Master League section as you can now see - also, it's worth using the 'Search' function within the relevant sub-forum just to see if a similar topic has been discussed before, and as such, you may find answers instantly.

In relation to this specific topic, I'm in a similar boat as you. I'm only in October with my ML team, in the first season, playing with the default Konami players along with recruiting a few up from the youth team. I don't particularly like buying plenty of players, especially already established players. I much prefer to bring in youngsters and see just how much I can help them develop and grow. Player development does seem like it was far easier, and more simple in earlier PES games though. I'm still a little baffled as to how player development works within PES 2013. I don't believe I've seen a 'pop up' yet following a match to represent a player's stat improving. Growth must exist somehow though as the choice to turn it on or off is available prior to starting a ML.

Hopefully someone who is perhaps a season or two into their ML, can shed some light upon this particular situation.

I figured it out. On the main master league menu, go to My Team -> Squad List and scroll along with R1 and you can see exp bar for each stat. You'll know if they've improved if you can see the stats have risen or if the development graph shows an incline. It's less obvious than on older PES's but you can still track development this way. Now I'm into March of first season and some of my players are coming along really well.

F.Fernandez from Napoli is a great young CB, he's 23 and rated 80 overall now, but very tall and strong, has been a rock in my last few matches.

I've just checked and I believe I can indeed see the individual bars, with one or two of my players right at the tip of these development bars. So I'm going to have a ML match now, and make a few quick notes to definitively confirm that this exists and is the new PES 2013 system, and whether the growth is particularly significant enough - but I'm a patient player, and enjoy a struggle. I'm in November (first season), with the default players, and I'm currently sitting in around position number 15 in the league. For me though, it's enjoyable and when you do score, it feels so much more rewarding, and I've found myself clenching my fist and punching the air through celebration.

I'll play my next match now, and report back - editing this post, as to not clog up the thread or double-post within a short period of time. :)

Thanks again.

Player development depends on many factors:

1- the player himself, check his info with R1 and see if '' there's much for improvement'' or '' should have a bright future '' .. these things will tell you.

2- your focus points as a coach, you can find them under training .. they help the development if certain areas.

3- the equipments you buy for each player ( only buy equipment that help in training, not the ones that adds points )

4- games played, the player should be a starter in alot of games, more games played mean more development, benching a player alot will decrease his overall.

5- his game rating, how well he did during games .. 6.5 and above help alot.

Too much high stats.

So, when I play ML, the stats for players become ridiculous.

Like a 18 or 20 year old kid becomes a mid to high 90's

and some players dont stop growing...

Is there a way to stop this and have them grow at a reasonable rate? Say maybe +1 per season? Every Season my players have like +4 or +5, and I have turned off all the training bars and no items.

Any help or thoughts?

Thanks.

That's what it's all about, I'm the same.

I don't understand how people enjoy it when the games are always easy. For me the Master League is the long haul. The rapid & unrealistic stats development that tenken and other people mention is worrying. It used to be great when you found that gem like Kaiser or Orellano who would develop into a star, but we don't want every player doing that.

unfortunately every (youth) player in your team will be a star if played regularly.
familiar with rustwyth from the default team? when i first play ML he is like 54 overall. now 9 seasons later he's 100. the catch is how to develop the NEXT star, because when you already have team full of stars, it is difficult to play youth players regularly again..for me atleast

That is a load of crap. I used the peseditor to lower everyone stats a little bit. Anderson of MAN UTD a 88? NO way, I dont think so, so I rated him a 80, Fletcher 83 NOT 88, Carrick 83 not a 88, Nani 87 not a 92, Messi a 94 not 100, Sergio Ramos 86 not a 93 so on and so forth.

I think Konami has to seriously reconsider how much players grow in a season. Its not possible for Powell (MAN UTD) to become a Ronaldo in the course of 1 season, just because he is a regular.

But I also think that Konami made the game for the less patient people because people dont play ML that long. So they wanted to show people progress in short time before they say, 'screw this, this game is boring.' But for the true PES lovers, I think it went the ladder.

You may have hit the nail on the head there, I think that's exactly what they've done. As I said before, the Master League should be for the long haul. I don't wanna be winning the league with the strongest team in my 4th season, I wanna still be battling after 10 seasons & really feel that sense of achievement when I finally do win the league. I wanna be pleased when I develop a superstar, not expect it of everyone

I have noticed an error in the ML offline.

When you play a few seasons or even in the first season, 4 random teams (usually after the January transfer window) gets all their points, GD, GF, GA etc... set to 0 and will not go up or down.

Is is an error on my side or is this something that others are facing?

Any thoughts or help???

Thanks.

How to improve the form of the players?
My players are always bad humored.

I have the same problem but on the opposite way.

In my current ML (3rd season) some players will just keep getting worse and worse, and worse!

A. Emana (I edited him myself since he's not in the game) started with 81 and now he's 74????? And he's not that old!!! He scores goals and stuff, but he keeps getting worse!

M. Formica, another great player, scores goals, gives plenty of assists, started at 80 and now he's 71, and he's just 27!!!! WTF!!!! :realmad: And despite that, he costs 2.5 million... come on!!!

Fortunately, they aren't part of my team, but it's incredible... some players don't play and they get better fast, some players play well or very well, and they lose stats pretty fast...

Another example: Fernando Torres. I edited his stats because 78 was very low for me (despite the fact he is declining really fast IRL, but whatever)... and raised him to 81. After 3 years, he's 80, and he was the goalscoring champion last season!

:erm:
