iam hoping the slow down isnt as bad online as the cpu isnt doing as much work, 2 consoles working together. well thats my theory anyways lol ;)

maybe... I get most of the slowdown when the cpu is attacking and Im defending with the penalty area crowded. Also I feel it happens when the cpu goes into its annoying dribbling exhibition, thats when it really happens.

I've cancelled my PS3 pre order. I enjoy the gameplay but I'm not buying such an unfinished product I've decided. I know previous PES' s have been labeled unfinished but this is beyond a joke 14.

I got my copy today and I just don't see enough improvement and I haven't played the game since PES 2011. There is just far too much wrong with it. Obviously I need to give it more time to as I've only played a few games but it feels rigid, broken and just flawed.

Wow everyone is so critical of this game, unbeleivable.
I enjoy this game a looot !111

The physicality in it is amazing, ball movement feels realistic, and dribbling is fabulous.

Plus love the new GK animations.

Day 1 buy for me :w00t

does PES still allow off the ball movement with the right stick? I remember in 2012 you could choose basic, run forward, or more complex with being able to freely move a player off the ball in all directions to get open in space. I could never master the latter.

I personally thought the gameplay was fantastic I absolutely love it (I haven't got the game yet but this view is from the demo)

The gameplay is excellent but there are a few issues Konami need to do

1. Shooting needs improving as it feels week and sometimes it needs to be a little more on target (67% on target 33% off target as most shots taken from long distances are accurate)

2. Shooting/Long and Short passing power needs to be a lot more stronger as it feels a little week

3. Goalkeepers catch the ball nearly all the time (75% the punch the ball away 30% they catch the ball) from shots and shots with a lot of power should be punched as its difficult to catch the ball when you have a lot of power in the shots

4. Ball control needs a improving as it needs a little more freedom where the player can easy turn and move more

5. Set pieces need more work on and goal kicks run ups need to be a lot faster as they move too slow

Yes it does but they made it all complicated where you have to hold L1 down while performing the stick movement which makes it almost impossible

actually, I have always been horrible at holding R3 down and then moving the stick at the same time, no matter what the game is on a PS3. So that sounds more inviting.

Final game the keepers are shocking :-( way to meany own goals & can score from some obscure angles, that the keep should be able to save but no oO

Also slowdown is still there & edit mode on the xbox is worse than previous version, no vision cam support, no importing of strip data for emblems & no way to import PNG :-@ had to do another converter.

I wish they would make a PC tool to do it, like some indie devs do on the xbox AAW2 allows importing of png files, through the use of there own PC software.

Sounds like another pes 2008 mess. I think I'll wait and stick to 2013 until a few patches sort out all these short comings. Yikes

PES2013 wasn't bad at all , especially after 1.03 and 1.04 (with some patches like Jenkey's masterpiece), looks like it will live longer in my PC. But I have to test 2014 first, too bad no PC demo(or final game) as of yet !

I just read you creating the Indonesian league, wouldn't be better the A-League or J-League? And about the League MX, you should create another South American league instead of that. Just an opinion, hope you don't mind.

Indonesian league is just because after the UK, the majority of the users of my OF are Indonesian. It may change though if I struggle to find players in FM though, I'm going to look into it a bit more later this week.

Mexican League was one I wanted to add as it will be easy to find faces as no doubt edgar & azul will make lots as usual, I did consider the Colombian league though.

Will do, thanks Paul. Will you be doing your subscription again for this year's game, where people who pay, gets your updates earlier? If so, I'll be logging into my PayPal account friday!! :)

Not this year mate, it was a lot of work getting updates out every week, so this year I will just be releasing regular updates for everyone ;)

Ok, here are my first impressions after a few exhibition games (I didn't play it for long because I wanted to watch Swansea v Liverpool, plus the latest episodes of Breaking Bad and ray Donovan), but I'm pleased to say that the final game IS an improvement from the demo, the shooting isn't so 'floaty', the passing is fantastic, the ball physics is noticeably different (in a good way) and it definitely feels like its a completely different object from the players, which makes the game a lot more random and less scripted. All teams start off with a default of two kits, but once you get into edit mode, you simply press the square button to add third (and forth) kits, which are instantly available to play with - sadly, no mix-and-match between the shirts/socks/shorts. I may be wrong, but I couldn't find anyway of implementing your own songs into the game, that is something I'll have to look at again. Also, I didn't see any function to import PES 2013 edited kits so that we'd have a head start into getting the proper team names and kits, so it looks like option files makers will have to start from scratch (I hope I'm wrong). No slow down as far as I can see.....

by th term "no slow down" you mean the lack of response at shooting ,crosing ....etc meanning the press of button and after two or three player's steps the response??
and the player turn? how it is mate??????????

Yes sorry, it's pretty responsive concerning all that....I must say that although its an improvement from the demo, the switching between players could be better, hopefully that is something that'll be fixed with the next DLC. also, the crossing has changed, I haven't bothered to look it up yet, but the triple-tap for low crossing doesn't seem to work, that is something else I'll have to look at. The tackling is much improved, I didn't like what they did to last years game, where they made it overly complicated, this time round its much simpler to tackle, and the refs aren't so card happy when you've made a perfectly timed tackle. The camera customization is a god-send, you can change the camera angle to your preference, and the speed is much improved from the demo, you don't feel like the players are running through treacle, and its very smooth...
