1. yes
2. no where near as bad, but online is a lag fest at the moment.
3. no
4. songs are shocking, i use my own playlist ;)
5. can quickly connect, lag free at the moment is a big no.

Ahh Okay, I think I will wait a few weeks until I buy it. So I can concentrate on GTA 5 and wait for Konami to sort the Lag issues out.

what do you mean by slow down? Does the game play at a slower pace or is there slowdown/frame rate issues?

I think bit of both....the whole game plays at a slow pace.I am sure even the clock slows down because of that...

I know what you mean. It's sometimes in slow motion especially when you get into the box. Connections have been crap and I have 30mbps

Yes exactly! especially when too many players gather up in opponents box. 7 out of 10 games I played ,played this way more or less but the 3 games that worked perfectly were better than sex!. makes me want to think its a server issue.

its like the game is running at half speed, button inputs have like 1 sec delay, and its not down to connection as the connection warning icon isnt flashing. The game is struggling to find the resources it needs. Maybe a memory leak or something?

I dont think button input has 1 sec delay...its how the New engine works...the players dont respond hard and fast on this engine.maybe konami will tweak it.but Online server issues are there.

Offline the delay is not there m8, online there is major delay and makes it unplayble. It is not the engine lol

The licences Konami has lost is really worrying. As an example, Kolo Toure has looked perfect for a few years, look at him in PES 2014. It's shocking. And they've lost the true likeness of many others this year too.

It's retarded because they're relying on people to fix/mask over lack of licensing with option files every year. It doesn't work like that because the average person doesn't want to go to the trouble of downloading them each time. And why would they when it's all in FIFA already?

I prefer the PES gameplay over FIFA and have been open about it for a while, but they're taking stuff out of the game and losing more to EA every year.

As it stands, I have a relatively updated file for 2013. I think I'll be building upon that to get my football game fix this year.

And I know it won't be an issue to many, but they don't even have a fucking cover star any more.

It is mate, I tend to give people one warning first though & a ban if they continue
No ban needed ....i know he was just making a joke about the dude flaring his arms about when he scored. It was not directed at anyone ...but wanted him to know that the language was a bit harsh

Looks like I touched a nerve.

:D take the warning and keep it moving maradona....get back on topic

just got the game needs a few tweaks here and there, no doubt DLC will sort it out but yeah loving it

There is a definite sense that this is intrinsically a great game, subject to a couple of tweaks being needed. Also the player ID seems much more pronounced than in the demo as well. Cristiano Ronaldo is uncanny in the way he runs and strikes the ball.

(And yes, his "dangling" foot animation is back.

This. So much this.

It doesn't seem to bother as many people as I thought, but lack of licenses is something that really turns me away from PES. Of course gameplay is incredibly important, but at the same time part of the reason I play football games is to emulate real world football or to take the club I support to glory. It's just not the same when they're called 'North London Red', have a generic kit and faces that don't bear any resemblance to their real life counterparts whatsoever.

From what I've played of the two demos so far, I'd personally say gameplay between PES 2014 and Fifa 14 is pretty even. For Konami, that's a big improvement in my eyes, Fifa has outdone them for the past three iterations. But as Fifa has all the licenses and PES has next to none, it becomes a no-brainer.

Konami will never beat EA when it comes to licenses, so for them to truly have the better footballing game they need to blow EA out of the water in terms of gameplay, not just match them.

This, of course, is just my two cents.

What asshole decided to take base copy out of the game? All I can do is laugh now at this point. Lets take bets on what will be missing in the next game

I have just played the Milan derby, and never has a videogame come so close to the "feel" of watching one live on TV. The crowd response and noise has to be heard to be believed. I thought the speakers were going to blow when Balotelli nosed Milan ahead. Plus the extra cinematics of the medics tending to injured players etc made it seem realistic.

For all the niggles, you have to doff your hat to Konami for what they've done right.

There are only two things that bug me about the new game...

- Rubber banding. Defenders catching up when you are clean through against the keeper, no matter how good/bad they are. It's stupid and very unrealistic.

- Where is my R2 jostle? Pressing/Holding R2 now just makes my player face the opposition keeper... which is lame. I used to use R2 all the time in older games to help quickly move away from players... Now every time I use it my players feel really clumsy. It's awful.

Everything else is fine. I just cannot wait for a kit patch now.

With you on both of these and also some response issues in the box.

In the demo what I have found is you can turn away from players without using R2(where you would use R2 last year). Meaning that Xavi can take those little touches while he turns away from a defender without R2. By pressing R2, he would take a bigger touch.

I am so used to pressing R2 though, so I guess that is just me needing to adjust my playing style... But why change something that wasn't broke... haha, it's more frustrating than anything as I end up just running into another player and falling over, or giving away a foul for no reason at all. :(

Oh yeah the response is a little frustrating also... Tap square... shoot 2/3 seconds later.
