I'm shelving PES 14 & back playing PES 13 until Konami comes out with a DLC TO FIX THIS BUG!! Dun think its framerate etc.. Coz If you go try playing matches in training mode there is no slow mo issues at all . So Sad to encounter this afta all the hype on PES 14 as Ive been playing Konami PES since 2003 !

Konami u screw this one up for me ! pls pls fix this ! but nevertheless- Death to EAsports FIFA! though. :p

In training it's faster that's because there's no crowd on the stand which they made it high resolution this year. PS3 just can't handle the complex crowd konami did this year.Poor optimization and/or game platform showing its old age.

they should tone down the crown resolution like mahandeem said and take away the animated billboards and extra useless decor around the field.... maybe that would help.

I believe it also has to do with difficulty.
When I tried to play in professional, the AI of my team became incredibly stupid.
Then I lowered it to Regular difficulty and I pummeled the AI.
I just beat Real Madrid at home with Villareal 0-4. :shocking:

Your post is irrelevant.

I suppose the slowdown on the PS3 is due to aging hardware and bad coding/graphic design.

Jeezus.......i really hate this game....i'm fed up of giving it chances...fellas...wtf did kont-ami did ? Everything in this game is broken ..konami aint gonna do shit to fix this eh...they would jus release patches with rosters update and new boots etc. I think its time we face it and jus move on.
Jeez i hate pes 14.

It shouldn't have got to do with the age of the hardware, as the xbox can handle the gameplay with zero slowdown or any framerate issues at all(except during the entrance scene when the camera pans through the players as they're lined up which is not at all important or even that bad).

I think its just bad coding and design as you've mentioned. The PS3 is apparently harder to code for, but in saying that it should be able to handle it if the xbox can.

They'll have to fix it for ye PS3 players. It would be suicidal of them not to, as its just unacceptable to begin with and they'll damage they're reputation far too much than it already is. It's completely unplayable by the sounds of it.

If they do fix it, ye'll see how utterly class a game it is. Far better than it and Fifa have ever been.

You seem to be a sad individual. Why don't you tone down the hostility pal?

Sorry if I offended you, but this thread is about the game graphically slowing down (framerate drop) due to the enhanced stadium and crowd graphics in PES 2014 on the PS3 and your post was about the AI difficulty.

If you agree that your post does not mention anything about the framerate issue, then you could also argue that your post was irrelevant.

Back to the topic, I would not mind if Konami tone down the crowd graphics with the patch (although I doubt it) if it would make the game smoother.

As someone mentioned, the PS3, though coming of age, should be able to handle a footy game's graphics. My brother is playing Battlefield 4 on the PS3 and it is running smooth. The graphics in that game is much more complex, I believe.

Yes you are right!

I actually meant that it was a combination of both the new engine code and a relatively old hardware.

I think it's pretty much that the engine is unoptimized. They shouldn't have released a new engine without much support for a game in which demands quick time reactions like PES.
I kinda feel bad for spending $60 on it. $40 should've been a sweeter spot as the game has less of everything. Less faces, less celebration animations, less stadiums.

Maybe it's just me getting to old for this sh*t, because all I hear is people complaining about this lag issue, but I haven't noticed anything in the amount people are talking about.

Can is be that people exaggerate about this or do I have a super PS3?
(I admit, I do vacuum my PS3 once a week  )

I just received my copy for the PC and I experience the same slow-down lag issues. This suggests the game is at fault and not the platform or hardware.

i3 and a GTX 460. Since my previous post I enabled VSYNC which helped a lot. Some things just feel sluggish...when my guy is dribbling with the ball I know I want to stop and cut in a different direction and I'm hitting the stick or the r triggers but my guy just goes straight into the enemy defender.
