I need to be sure... so PS3 online is fine? I was reading that before the patch it was totally unplayable from lag to gameplay being way way way too slow. Has this been resolved? Is the game play speen online now normal?
oops I saw 2 responses above on this issue, but they're totally different, one says its good one says its not. Maybe we need more feedback to have a better idea, maybe those cases are isolated.

I can tell you this, I'm in NY I play people as far away as the UAE and Saudi Arabia- I get no lag whatsoever.

Yeah alot of the lag has now been fixed if you do experience lag its either your internet connection signal strength weakening temporarily or the other users connection. Aside from that the game doesnt have slowmotion anymore and the framerates including the formation menu is all fixed 
totally loving the game now tbh.

The on-line lag is a game breaker for me
I think the best thing for users todo is not rely on the wifi on ps3 or xbox i use a wire instead so the strength of my connection is ultimate and never loses strength that is one of the best tips anyone ever gave me that was when i used to be a PC player playing the likes of battlefield 1942 and medal of honor spearhead online in the early years of 2000's
I dont think the problem lies with the game anymore. ITs either you or the opposition users connections.

I tryied the DVD Version, but when I put the crack and run the game, there were no changes and the version was: Patch Version 1.0 and Data Pack : Unimplented. I really need an advice mates. I think your best bet is to just buy the game for pc its half price for pc users.
Other than that my only other solution is to try and find the datapck online for the cracked version cause i think the problem is your game is not legal but the patch is so your infusing them together and it doesnt allow you to open it after words because it thinks you have the Game CD in the the disk drive.

In the short time I've played since the latest patch I have noticed no input lag defenders are better I didn't get too many shots away but neither did my opponent I think we were both adapting to the new game lol so I didn't get the chance to see if they have improved the keepers positioning and handling but I still find the back four get dragged around too much and end up in the middle of the pitch they've definitely balanced out the lobs and chips though so far there had been a significant improvement still work to be done though I feel.

Honestly, i like the overall gameplay before the patch...before you hate me read first..
I agree that the lag issues in front of the goal decreased significantly.
I agree the frame rate issues on game menu and formation are solved.
The crosses are harder because it requires perfect timing to meet the striker who makes forward run through the goal. This is real football.
The long shots are harder because not everyone can shoot with such power from distances, but as some says, perfect timing it is very possible.
I also feel the players response are faster with some kind of "turbocharger". There is no smoothness on the movement. The gameplay before nov patch allows player to accelerate first then speeds away, which is like real football.
I play with L3 button for player movements, button delay is still exist on online modes. I'm helpless against all out of attack sides.
I play tactical possession balls, so i prefer slower tempo on gameplay.
I know most of the players play long balls and only utilizing fast players to run through defences while waiting long through balls from their midfields. Hate the fact that i can't just change to the last defenders to man mark the striker.
I hate how every single player can use the "Baggio" style skill to backheeled ball and run through defenders then swing around while goalie try to move forward then just easily chip the ball to the net at the very last..WAY TOO EASY!!

i cant say i disagree with this post. i mean the game has gotten a lot better alloot. dont get me wrong.
but as far as the passing goes and cursor change its still terrible. that whole the ball has its own scrip is useless to me if we cant controle the ball. i mean you will have players like da silva just walked pass a ball come on.
i just played a game against schalke with man city and hunterlaar is faster and stronger than kompany and nastic this is comedy
the passing and control was much better in 2013 so i dont understand why the changed this.

controls are a joke still ! why cant we select a defender like in pes2013 and just track the forward instead we are forced into the new catch up
system where ronaldo speed means nothing a one legged giraffe could catch him in pes14 if it were a defender .............................. pes r.i.p
yeah exactly i seen van buyten 34 years old catch up to ageurro one of the faste players in the world ahha this is comedy

in the demo you could switch defenders like in pes2013 using the left stick... or is it right, but ya you could...

this catch up bug has been in pes forever, why is anyone surprised. It happens in PES2013 all the time, espiecually online. I'll be running with Giovinco in open space and some big slower defender catches me.... old news.
Ive seen gerard p[ique keep up with ronaldo easy in real life. there is a huge difference in running on the ball than running without the ball
Off the ball ronaldo will win in a race but on the ball alot of players have a chance of catching you ball dribble speed is vital
Also you say giovinco gets caught by a big slow defender propbably because hes not actually that fast on topspeed
Another thing is im wondering if people actually use the R3 to push a defender away from them i can jog with the ball and as a player tries to tackle me im pushing R-stick towards the player so im protecting the ball the whole point of the catch up is so people cannot just speed merch a victory out of you
And to make it fair they have put the whole aspect of battling to retain the ball as of before if a big defender catches you on pes that STUPID animation where the player loses his balance and stumbles ! omg how that used to annoy me
But now when a defender catches me i simple use r-stick and push him off me and then run into a new space to take a shot people really need to use what the game provides you with the catchup bug is so no one can take advantage of you in a match and they force you to use r-stick to try and keep the ball in a 1on1 shoulder to shoulder battle
What i find myself doing now is using both sticks at the same time l-stick for direction and r-stick for shielding if the player is behind me im holding rstick towards my back if he is beside me im holding rstick to my side the players cant take the ball off me its actually a very cool idea.
When the giraffe catches you push him off you with r-stick problem solved.

never thought of using the R3 to shield... thx fo the heads up! What I do when I notice players starting to catch up, I do the long dribble to speed up my guy into space. I'll give the R3 a try...
Im still debating whether to buy PES2014... I've never felt so torn whether to spend $60 or not LOL!!!!!
QUESTION TO ALL : Have the headers been fixed? I remember in the demo they didn't work.
