Let me just clarify to those who think I hate the game, I don't in fact when the going is good and the challenge is right the game is like crack cocaine, the desire to come back to play MyClub is extremely high even though those moments drive me nuts and I guess that's what they are 'moments' though sometimes you can endure nearly an entire game of them particularly if you play with a Team Spirit penalty after incurring a deficit on your managerial cost. If you want to see consistent scripting in action do just that!
P.S. I would suggest that all of you try MyClub for at least 20+ games, it's slow to take off but it really gets going and although I don't agree with the micro-transaction system and how you are almost coerced into spending real money (i.e. stamina shortfalls and low incomings Vs. high outgoings i.e. unless you have at least 20k in reserve you will have problems paying for player contracts in the long-run, especially given the difficulty system i.e. you cant ever be in a position to 'milk' the points/rewards since the AI increases after every win) but it certainly has it's moments and when the going is good on the pitch and you find a player or two coming good for you (like De Bruyne for me, his spirit linkage with the other midfielders around him went through the roof and he has become a tour de force lighting up my midfield) the game really comes into its own becoming very addictive too! I encourage all to try it.
So don't think I think it's all bad for it isn't

I played a champions league on superstar with Roma first real attempt at vs com and got to the final losing 1-0 to Chelsea, I beat Barca, Real and Bayern in the knockout stages and saw no scripting at all. Although obviously Roma are better than Villa
I really think what most of you are referring to as scripting is just clever AI by the computer. Obviously your defence falling over etc isn't that but I've rarely experienced that. I did find my defence to be shocking on myclub until I got a new manager with more suitable tactics and my chemistry improved but that is realistic and a great thing in my opinion
One thing I will agree on is the overuse of certain players in myclub. I've seen so many neymar, aguero, Ibra, di Maria etc. but hardly any of some stars.
My pes is completely gone, i was one point from going into division 4 and im now heading to div 9 without a win, the scripting is hilariously obvious. Its fucked, team is all over the place and i think ive about 30 percent of my control pad. A 2 yearold could beat me at this point, the team spirit is a lot of bollocks as ive 99 percent, £onami should not be selling anyone coins in this game, the scripting is fucking bollocks and as a poster on here said, i wanna lose with my own mistakes.

It (scripting/AI interference) is a joke and something that badly needs addressing and now that you've seen it and know its there you will find it hard to ignore because it interferes so much with the game and how it is shaped (talking MyClub here).
Personally, I think it should be taken out altogether but considering it has been in every game since PES 2008 I don't see Konami changing now.
P.S. Stick to offline modes and easier AI levels if you want it (AI interference) largely removed from your games, which is a bit sad -like I said earlier it killed my desire to play competitively!
It's a real shame that it's there at all because the game would be much better without it.
P.P.S. To understand fully how bad it can be play MyClub regularly and you will bang your head off a wall at how ridiculous things can get.

I just played a myClub match last night and was leading 3-2 going into the final minute of the match and suddenly I wasn't able to handle the ball or get it back and my goalie just practically stood there too letting the ball go in. Ended the match tied 3-3 and I said "are you freaking kidding me".
Have just signed up to this site to vent my rage at the blatant scripting going on in my club online divisions. I have been playing this game a lot and enjoy the online modes as I win a lot more than I lose (am in division 2), I would consider myself decent at the game but sometimes I feel like the game is doing everything in it's power to make me lose. At first I thought maybe i'm just going through a bad patch of form or it just wasn't my day etc but more and more these little things kept happening to make me feel like the game was against me, I felt like I was getting a little paranoid so searched online to see if anyone else had the same issues, sure enough it led me here.
I don't know what to call exactly what I am experiencing in the game but it feels like the game is tying my hands behind my back for certain periods of matches, as an example a recent game I was playing I just couldn't move, like my players were running through treacle whilst my opponents were like lightening, a fine example of this was Robben getting clear on the wing (and I'm talking a good 10 yards behind the defence) only to be caught by the defender before I could advance even 5 yards, then my opponents Solomon Kalou burns my whole defence (who have high speed stats btw) like he was the fastest player in the world, this happened for about 70 minutes of the game, robben looking like a slug whilst Kalou and the rest of his squad seemed like Usain Bolt. By 70 minutes i'm 4-0 down, barely able to string 2 passes together, defenders running into each other, players running away from the ball etc when suddenly my team is allowed to play, the shift in play is extremely noticible, my players speed increases and I am the one getting to the loose balls first, my attackers start to move and I bang in 3 goals in 20 minutes whilst dominating possession in that period. This happens too often to be coincidence, it happens both ways, sometimes my players will seem extremely fast whilst my opponents are slow, I have hit people for between 8-12 goals in some matches and I can imagine them being extremely frustrated at the game from their end just like I am when it happens to me because you can do absolutely nothing to stop it. I found the best way to help is try and keep possession of the ball, pass across the back 4 and until your time comes to have your turn with fast players, failing that just boot the ball up field and away from your area so nobody can tackle your unresponsive players and get an easy goal. Another thing I have noticed is on the occasions I have been beating people with overpowered players and they have stopped playing, even when his players aren't being controlled by anybody they chase my players relentlessly and still tackle on their own, as soon as they get the ball the player chasing stops dead so I know they aren't being controlled by a human player, I just tackle them again and sure enough they start again chasing like men possessed, if I stop playing my players just stand completely still. My final issue is the game getting harder and more biased the higher division you get to, the higher I have got the more the game has seemed to turn against me, when I was last in division 2 I needed a win in my last game for promotion, I was winning 3-2 (despite my team being idiotic) and ran the ball into the corner to run down the clock because I knew if I lost the ball I was done for, sure enough I get tackled in the corner in the very last minute, one pass from the back and then a through ball straight to his striker whilst my CB just watches the ball roll past him a centimetre from his toe and then a weak shot trickles straight past my keeper to equalise keeping me in the same division, it's hard to feel that this was not scripted in order to keep me in the same division, not to mention my opponents other 2 goals were ridiculous and normally would have been saved by the keeper, it just felt like the game was doing everything in it's power to keep things tight for my last important game of the season. At the end of the day Konami just need to make all game's equal, no bias, equal player speed for all players in every game dependant on stamina, in no game should Kalou be beating Robben for pace comfortably unless he is dead, just make it fair and sort the quitting cheat, that is all.

I have now come to the conclusion I'm not allowed to beat Chelsea or Everton this season in the ML(on the 360).Chelsea,especially, play a ridiculous pressing game.It's like they're all on speed.
Apart from that I'm enjoying this seasons ML.Finally getting injuries,which is a plus.

What you have described is part of the problem I have with the game, this 'advantage' play (I won't call it scripting anymore) just takes away any idea of user control. I no longer play online because of it, I'm tired of not being in control of my destiny and can stand no more of the AI just dictating outcomes it's plain silly.
Sadly, it's a case of roll on PES 17 in the hope someone at Konami decides to give players back complete control.
This happens in online MyClub too. I have noticed that Team Spirit effects very much to this. If you have better Team Spirit, the scripting will more probably be in your side.
But what scripting? Well, my opponents passes are always perfect, their players suddenly come so physical and have a super ball control that my defenders cant just rob the ball. There is also button delay. My defenders clear the ball straight to the opponent. My attackers make less runs. If i do get chances, they end up to goal post or his goalie saves everything or my players go Heskey and miss all good chances. Plus the referee ignores my opponents tackles but gives them a free kick if i hitted their player just a little bit.

ive 99 percent team spirit and ive been scripted on for about 5 games in a row tonight, just turned it off, my defenders passing to their forwards and moving out of the way for them, the scripting is crazy, when it happens to me! it comes for about 5-6 games in a row. £onami are a disgrace.

Now that you've witnessed it, it's pretty disgusting right? It has all but killed the game for me, without it the game is great but when I think about how little I am in control I just don't bother. I want to be able to play other people and pit my skill and wits against theirs and with this system I can't do that fairly. So I'm out. Roll on 17, 18, 19....

I think we need to take a step back and enlighten a lot of the fans on the issue of "scripting".
From reading a few comments, I think that many believe the the game actually tries to cheat them as if the CPU is alive like a human.
While "scripting" is realistic in all games, we must realize that this is how the game was "programmed" or "scripted" or in gaming terms "designed" to actually play. This is how the programmers codes the game script to make it interesting for its fans.
What we see in the PES series is actually bad game design. Their failure to create a competitive feel to the game without tilting the advantages to the CPU reveals how lazy and incompetent they are.
Their is no need to argue with each other. The game design in PES and Fifa can be horrific ...PES seems to suffer more.
For me ....if it gets too frustrating, stop and play with my kids or get out the house with my wife. Try again later. :blush:

I'm not really sure what the point is here.
My problem are the moments when control is momentarily taken away and when my players decide to do 'silly' involuntary things that when added together equate to the AI essentially handing my opponent an advantage (of sorts) for a given period of time. Now, I was calling these moments of madness 'scripting' but if you had read my posts you would have noticed that I have tried to change that term by rephrasing it as 'advantage' play since there are many interpretations of what scripting is.
Regarding your last sentence, my personal frustration comes solely from this problem, so it's not something that can be fixed simply by walking away or taking a break because when you come back it's still there, just as consistent, and sadly there is no remedy other than not playing altogether.
Now, had the frustration come from my own psychological inability to deal with a fair defeat then yes I understand it's time for a break, in which case I would then go play with my wife *cough* I mean kids but regrettably it's not that kind of frustration.
Furthermore, I don't think anyone is arguing. Some people, for whatever reason, simply don't see it and tbh I wish that was me, but sadly I do see it and what I see is horrid.
Lastly, why is it so hard to make a simple football game with simple controls no AI interference and complete control? I mean its beginning to happen on phone games - Why not back to basics, think Sensible Soccer - it's so easy at grassroots (forgive the pun) so why does all this 'muddy' AI nonsense even need to be added in the first place? Because when you play offline on Easy settings its practically gone so it's a something that is added to when a certain setting or mode is triggered to maintain a repressive form of balance and I think this is completely wrong. Perhaps Konami will wake up soon and learn to KISS.
