You can make national teams using 'national team selections' with the teams we will provide.
h77 thanks, that's true but the overall squads of, say, a Classic Germany made from players who feature in your squads won't be as rich as a true Classic Germany as provided by Konami in the likes of PES6 on PS2.
The reason for that is certain players, like maybe Littbarski, Klose and players from pre 1990 won't feature in your teams at all.
I know from the old Classic National Teams that not EVERYONE played for a big club like Milan or Barcelona, and even the ones that did sometimes were national legends without really being club legends (like Klose!)
I know the solution to this is to build all the players that aren't available as part of your patch, maybe by starting off with the list of players in the Classic Teams of old PS2 PES games and creating the missing players (hopefully not too many) and any new ones.
I dunno if anyone else cares about Classic Nations but I am willing to volunteer my time if that's something we might want for the future?

My friend, you underestimate the details that I haven't provided as of yet. Both littbarski and klose have clubs. The images from pes 16 is a one man built option file. I could not rebuild what we intended to build on pes 17 as I was working alone.
This is a group effort. We have prepared 65 clubs by 26 players, equaling 1,690 players. How many players do you think will be missing when we are done? Another 17-40 teams could possibly be added on top of that. It all depends on different factors thou. Stat avaibility and workforce.
If you are offering help it would be appreciated but everyone who does so needs to know that they key factor is, working together. Following instructions to a T. Reason being if they are not followed it jeopardises the overall blue print and ultimately will cause more work for others. As well as being a waste of the person who done the works effort as it becomes unusable.

My point is only this. It is all well and good making a few excess players but if it conflicts our blue print. There implementation becomes hassle. I want as much help as possible but it must be efficient, so please do not take as if I'm turning away your help. Instead I'm trying to get you to help according to our needs.
I know Ratmundo has plans to place players in world/euro classics. This will be in harmony with our blue print though and might also be exactly what you are looking.

Anyway, regardless of which player I use to illustrate my point you must be able to accept that not *every* player that features in the Classic National Team is in your file, that's just a logical reality as you haven't made every club. There are lots of players who stayed at one club their whole career and that club hasn't been made into a classic by you yet, or who never played for a club in your list of classic clubs.
So if we want to have Classic National Teams it's not just a case of copying them from your file. Maybe you don't want to make these extra players, that's cool, its up to you. I was just trying to point out why it's not as simple as you are saying.
I mean, how can Sir Tom Finney or Stanley Matthews be placed into Classic England if your patch doesn't have Classic Stoke, Classic Blackpool or Classic Preston??? Nether player EVER played anywhere else and they are considered two of the best England talents EVER?

It was explained perfectly to you in previous posts mate, there is hundreds of players going to be created for the file... players that you will see and think 'oh yeah I forgot about him'
I am an English man, do you honestly think for one second that Bobby Moore wouldn't be in the file
You only have to look through my YouTube uploads to see the players and National teams I created for last years game. Just wait and see, enjoy what we have created so far and let us have a couple of weeks to also enjoy it
Sorry. I did read through the thread and I was under the impression it was Clubs, and the listed clubs for England didn't include West Ham. Thanks for clarifying and sound awesome- can't wait. Got friends coming over to enjoy it tomorrow.
And just in case there was any confusion, I wasn't expecting after all your work that you would just start working on extra players and teams just cos I want them! It was more me asking about national teams in the future as I thought you were only doing clubs for PES 2017. Obviously you all deserve a massive rest and applause

It feels quite weird seing Porto with Benny MacCarty rather than Falcao.
Hulk, Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho are among most notable players in Porto history too.

Guys it should be around 4-6pm today. I've had an extremely bad start today with my USB dying, so I can not overlook the final product or use kits on my version. I'm disgusted.

I'm new to this whole importing teams biz and am very excited to get my hands on the classic teams.. i need to ask though, is it possible for me to simply add the select classic teams i want into my existing option file without replacing the original teams? and if so how do i do it? assistance would be highly appreciated
Not really. Here's what I mean:
1) When you import a team the game will show you which team is being replaced. At that point you have the option of either going with replacing that team or selecting another one.
2) If you go with the initial team any player data will be overwritten, all kits, stadiums, etc. that have been edited will be overwritten and the original team lost.
3) If you select a different team to replace, any players from the team that was used to make the new team will be moved and overwritten. (Hope that makes sense).
If you're worried about losing players here's what I do:
1) Import one team at a time making note of which team will be replaced.
2) Back out of the import and go into edit mode. Select the team that will be replaced and copy any players you want to keep onto a youth team. (You know those ML youth teams with the generic players).
3) Import the team where you want then check to see if any players have been lost.
4) Go back into edit mode and copy players you lost from your youth team. You can then reset the youth players back to their original forms.
I haven't found a simpler solution as of yet. If someone else has I'd be happy to learn what you've done. I hope this makes sense and helps you.
