Are you still playing with Swansea? Did you manage to win any european competitions after winning the premier league?

Yes and yes. I've been quite busy with uni so no updates, but I can say I'm in my third season with them, having won everything but the FA Cup in the second season.

Alright, this is how they stand. Currently in January, 3rd season.

Best players include Butland (still not as good as Cillessen in PES2015, that guy saved everything), Joe Gomez (an immovable object), Eric Dier (unbeatable in the air, great passing range) and Demarai Gray (stats are self-explanatory). But the three best players in the squad are, without a doubt, Will Hughes, Bamidele Alli and Zach Clough.

Starting with Alli. He's big, he's strong, quite good on the ball, but the best attributes are passing and shooting. He just has an animation that really resembles the real life Gilfy Sigurdsson (don't ask...), and his passes just feel so much more sticky than any other. Shooting is powerful and accurate from distance, low shots are a treat to the scoreline.

Clough resembles Messi. Short and explosive, feels almost like Bernardo Silva with his short dribbling and quick direction changes. Holds up play beautifully, and while only being 172 cm tall, if he gets enough space for a header it will go in. Excellent striker.

Hughes is by far the most influential player I've ever used, in any PES game. Even more than Bernardo Silva, André Silva or Goretzka back in PES2015. Since I've shifted to a 3-2-3-2 formation, with him as AMF, he scores almost more than my strikers, while keeping an amazing assist record. Strikers run by the sidelines up to the edge of the box, and Hughes darts through the centre. Passing is sublime, Weighted Pass is a great addition, dribbling is typical left footed magician, speed is more than expected. It just feels like a 85+ rated player.

Gomez, Chilwell, Dier, Alli and Gray have already flourish. Butland has had all that development (+10 OVR or so) in just 2.5 seasons.

Hold up play an aerial ability are his weakness in real life, and he's not really a striker. More of an AM/SS, but he's actually been playing on the left wing in a 4-2-3-1 formation this season.

I know right? Beautiful.

Yep, I went searching a bit on the real life Zach Clough, and found out that PES was absolute shit when making his stats. I changed them a bit but retained the CF role as I needed him there.

As for the header that 78 is indeed way too high, I must have forgotten to change it completely. His defaults stats for Shooting and Heading are 70 and 68, respectively, so I definitely did something to them. That Explosive Power is a mix of Acceleration and Agility, same with Body Balance (I tend to let them be just FIFA's Strength most times, but in players like Messi, Iniesta, Hazard, Clough, shorter and more technical players, I use an average of Strength and Balance, otherwise they'd be way too weak for the game).

Dele Alli also saw a major overhaul of his stats, Speed was reduced significantly, and technical stats were upgraded a bit.

The biggest changes were with youngsters like Macey, Chilwell, Gray and Rashford.

I'm still playing Pes 2016 and I am not thinking in buying pes 2017.

I've just finished my sixth season with Birmingham City. Some of my best players are:
CB: Leo Chambers / Rugani
CMF: Ceballos / Ross Barkley
AMF: Odegaard
RWF: Anwar El-Ghazi
CF: Marcus Rashford

I would like to show you some screenshots, do you know if I can take screenshots in PS3?

I think I'm done with this ML. Thinking on starting a new ML with Liverpool, looking for new challenges!

rebelinho how do you manage to boost to your CB training a 46%? I used to sign up some shit players only because of their team role, but I feel like cheating

Rugani is a beast in this game, I remember Silver Surfer's was just "maxed out". Ceballos is a great player as well, wonderful technique.

No idea, never owned a console.

I don't usually do this, did it in my Porto ML before this one. But during one transfer window (beginning of 3rd season) I had plenty of cash just sitting there and bought a few Grand Masters. They never play, just sit there until they refuse renewal and leave on a free.

It helps when you want to get the most out of your players.

You’re right. The problem is that I didn’t buy Grand Masters until the 5th season so my players couldn’t reach their highest level.

By the way, you gave me an idea with your spreadsheet and I also do mine, what a nerds we are ;)

As you can see, many players improved a lot during these 6 seasons, especially Koby Arthur. He began with 55 overall and finished with 82! He was almost always in the bench so his progression is even more impressive.
One of the regrets for leaving this ML is that I won’t see where is the limit of players like Odegaard, Chambers or Rashford.

Arthur and Cotterill were the only former Birmingham players that I kept. I also bought Chambers and Scuffet in my 1st season in Championship.

EDIT: I have problems posting the image (I don't know what I'm doing wrong...)

ohen spreadsheets are fun and bring order to chaos, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

That Koby Arthur had some unreal development, from a 55 rated nobody into a very respectable 82 in just 5 seasons. Impressive.

Do you use Leo Chambers as a CB? His jump is so low I find it impossible to use, and with his great technical and passing abilities I think he's the "perfect" right back.

And playing as LMF he was rated 85! He reached level 3 Youth Prospect, I don’t know which would be his next team role, but he was still developing.

Sometimes I used Chambers as a RB but he usually played as CB. His jump was low but he compensated it with physical attributes.

Here you can see some pics of my players. Currently in the end of 6th season

Weird and contradictory stats. 1.Great dribbling but poor ball control. 2.Great Attacking prowess but poor finishing. 3. Great Stamina but poor body balance.

My favourite CF. Heading was his only weakness.

Perfect complement for Rashford.

Best player in the game. His technical was just impressive.

All you want in a winger. Good technical abilities, lofted pass, speed and kicking power.

Impressive stats but I didn’t enjoy him too much. I sold Fekir to buy him. Big mistake, Fekir was much better although his stats were lower.

wtf. Ali take a look at this. just... wtf?! If you check his initial stats this just looks impossible. I'm speechless.

Best player in the game. His technical was just impressive.

I'd probably say the best player I've ever used in PES2016 is Bernardo Silva. I know I said Hughes is more influential, but Bernardo is definitely the better player. Maybe Fischer from my early Pescara days...

Do you play him often? Mine is nowhere close to that. Same with Galloway.

Chambers always played since first season. I combined his training between speed, physical and defence. Precisely those attributes are much different between ours Chambers. Maybe you were training him in passing or dribbling? Also you are still in the middle of 3rd season and I just have finished 6th season so my Chambers had more time to progress.

As you can see in this spreadsheet he played 230 games, not bad.

http://www.pesmaster.com/k-arthur/pes-2016/player/101274/
Faces don't look the same, looks like he has been edited in some way?
I can assure you that Chambers and Arthur stats were not modified. I played with Manelinho’s Option File http://manelinhopes.blogspot.com.es/2016/01/of-futbol-real-2016-beta-1.html
This OF changes some stats of Premier League players but not of Championship players. Rashford was improved and maybe Galloway (but I don’t think so because he only touches more relevant players).

Faces are different because I love to edit faces. I changed Chambers hair and Arthur, Rashford, Galloway and Ghazi faces.

By the way, if you see Arthur’s evolution during the 6 seasons it makes sense. At the beginning he also had:

1. good dribbling (77) but poor ball control (53).

2. Good Attacking prowess (67) but poor finishing (46).

3. Good Stamina (76) but poor body balance (55).

I combined his training between dribbling, shooting and physical and those are the stats he progressed more. Take a look at his progression

Sincerely I’ve played Pro Evolution for many years and I have never seen a case like this. His average progression was of 5 points every season!

I’m sure Konami’s initial stats are totally random and unreal. In real life I don’t think that a player that has poor ball control could be such a great dribbler...

I did tinker with my Leo's stats, I'll compare the initial stats I have vs the ones in PESMaster. I'm training him pretty much just for Speed as he is one of my right backs and he's already pretty good in the rest.

Just noticed he's your most used player! That's incredible for a centre back.

Edit: my Leo Chambers started with 70 Attacking Prowess (-5), 73 Low Pass (+3) and 74 Lofted Pass (+1). Either way, when I finish my third season I'm gonna do a comparison to see how they have developed. Maybe that 46% boost over the course of a season will compensate for the fewer games played?

By the way, if you see Arthur’s evolution during the 6 seasons it makes sense.

It makes sense as it is coherent, but so over-the-top it doesn't feel possible. As you say, 5 points per season is a flourish every season. Although my Butland is almost at that rate as well...

Maybe, 46% is a huge boost!

I must say that in my last two seasons I also had 2 Grand Master Center Back who boosted him, but that should be a 15-20% boost maximum, I don’t remember.

ohen - how far was Arthur above his expected development curve?

Insane :w00t

Chambers curve: Not bad, but not as impressive as Arthur. It is important to notice that this development curve begins in 2018, and he flourished during 2016-17 season (+7). The same for Arthur, but Arthur lives in a constant flourish

Yeah, mine hasn't flourished yet. I will post likely finish my third season by the weekend, I'll post some comparisons then.

Here is some of the players in my squad in my third season as manager of Flamengo.

I've already won the Brazilian Cup (twice), Brazilian League (one time), Libertadores (one time) and Recopa Sudamericana (one time). I'll try to win the Libertadores again in order to win the Club World Cup. After that, I'll move on to some team on Europe.

Glad to see that there are more people playing Pes 2016, I thought everybody was on Pes 2017.

It seems that you only play with Brazilian or South American players, don’t you?

That Mamute should be a beast, 99 balance in only three seasons!

I started some careers in Europe, but I've never played more than two seasons. However, I started one as Leeds United recently and I'm planning to be with this team on the long run.

Mamute is one of the best players you can buy in the early seasons, he gets better easily. He even got the Best Player in South America prize in my second season.
