I've one idea left for the future but it does not depend on me. Rather the community. I'm done building teams but I could spot check others if people want clubs they have created to be compatible in a future update. The clubs would have to follow our "rules". No duplicates, new clubs etc.
Just an idea, thought I would get out there while there is some conversation.

. So I took your option file and duplicated some players. For example Ronaldo I added him to Inter Milan, but modified his abilities and appearance to match his inter days.I used to create classic teams every year, but not this year..I've created only Lazio, which would be difficult to create with the "no duplicate" rule.
Currently, in addition to your 40 teams, I have Lazio + 12 national classic teams + 6 Custom all star teams (e.g SERIE A all stars). I only needed to create 15 players to have 58 classics thanks to your amazing work.
I know how exhausting and time consuming the process of creating classics. I just hope we will be able to use the same option file next year rather than starting the whole process from scratch.

Duplicate rule is good though, if it wasn't enforced we would not have a great variety of players. Giving people like yourself more variety when adding your own flavour to it. Although the rule does be bent in some circumstances.
You should try to convert your Lazio team to our requirements if it isn't to much work. I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy it. We have passed 300,000 downloads for v1 so it will get used by many
.My guess is we would have to do it all again for pes 18. It would be a lot more difficult depending on a few different things also. We are lucky pes 16/17 editor is so similar. It might not be the case with pes 18.

Brilliant file guys and you were all right, it was worth waiting for!
Like your idea of adding teams created by the community. I've created a classic Sunderland with the likes of Super Kev, Brian Clough, Len Shackleton, Raich Carter. Will have to tweak it to abide by the rules though.

sorry one more thing H - how much work did you put into tactics of teams, formations etc....how did you decide how to structure them up since these players in some cases are from such different eras and styles of play would be evolving...
was it a case of using the best the squad had to offer?

Hey mate, thanks for the kind words and support.
Too keep it simple I would use tactics/formations relevant to the manager who was applied to particular clubs according to when he was in charge.
Many different styles were incorporated into v1. Total football, catenaccio and false 9 to name a few. Line ups were choosen according to which player who would be best within those tactics. I spent hours testing all these tactics before v1 release. There was a big problem that happened though when pesuniverse uploaded which effected the tactics. Instead of using the most suitable players to the tactics, the game would automatically pick the strongest players.
For v2 I didn't go into the same detail for tactics though. There wasn't much appreciation for it.
Defo get to work with sporting mate. Would be another great addition.

Just created a user here to thank h777 and the other guys for their hard work. Basically, I lost my motivation to play Football games because of the lack of Classic content, so I don't play it for a few years. Also, I'm a console player, which makes it more difficult to have a decent level of customization. But seeing so many great things that are actually possible right now in this game on the PS4 and the creation of this Roster got my motivation back. I will buy PES 2017 as soon as possible, can't wait to try this out

. I hope it lives up to your expectations mate. One of the reasoning behind me editing to this concept was to indeed increase the competitiveness of AI. Pes is rubbish online but brillant offline. It is very easy even at superstar for years gone by though. From my experience of playing with these teams, this year and last year. This is no ride in the park. Even whilst using the best available team, there will be matches where you struggle.
Hopefully our work inspires you to create your own and continue playing.
