There is nothing truly unique about MyClub mode though. What is unique to fifa, is the capacity for editing as well the love of many users willing to do this. This is a predominantly editor based forum and is a lot busy then the MyClub section on pesfan. Even at its height of popularity. At the moment we use the editor as far as we can bring it and many do respect it and are interested. It can be taken a LOT further though and with that a lot more interest can be gained.
Things haven't been improving over the years in reality for editing. We can import/export but this is something we could do on pes 6 lol. It should be considered the basics. Less facial options/special hairstyles etc. No stadium editor etc. Less Call names...They need to go backwards to go forward and keep these options available in each new instalment to convince people to move on. Agreed with Rebelinho on gameplay being a big factor... But IMO for each generation of console it does not change so much year to year.
This is the thing, whilst I can see why they might focus on MyClub (Like you rightly said it's meant to be a year long cash cow) the editing is what makes PES (along with all you guys willing to put in the time & effort) This is what they should be using to sell the game, the complete customability of it (I may have just made up a word there but you get my drift). If they opened up the editing to give us even more options they wouldn't need any licensing at all! Us dafties will do all the work for them! And let's be honest if they keep ports compatible from game to game even the casual gamer could have an up to date option file within days (if not hours, most kits are released already & implemented in the previous game)
