Fifa 17 sold in the first week in the UK over 1.1 million(!!!) units while PES hardly couldn't hit 50k!!

Fifa keeps rising while PES imo is dying!??

Now with even the loss of the Champions League license it getting worse to me.

Honestly? Do you think that PES can last forever?? Me personally don't think so.

No hating please.
it will make zero difference teams where missing anyway. just frilly bits will be gone like cut scenes

I saw somewhere that PES 2019 will have a lot of new leagues. If that's true, then Konami is using the Champions League money in something good ;) I've been waiting for new leagues for a loooong time. I thought about sticking to PES 2018 but if the new leagues (and other features) are too good I probably won't resist getting PES 2019 as well.

And they will also add snow and dynamic time! Finally!

I just hope they add 2 generic european club competitions (replacing CL and EL) and not just one, like they have done with America.

New leagues is always welcome but my biggest wish is they add some fog or other weather conditions so that we're finally get rid of the "clear as a mirror" field just like you always play at hot summernights.

PES will always survive as long as they make their gameplay better than FIFA.

From '96 until 2001 I bought both games, then it was strictly PES. I remember PES 5 going double platinum in the UK. It seemed like everyone was playing it, it helped that the UK official Playstation magazine had a whole first section dedicated to it and gave it 10/10 I think. That was when PES peaked. It made a big difference because I remember playing ISS Pro 98 in school when everyone was playing FIFA '98, yet seven years later Pro Evo 5 was king.

I stopped buying PES after PES 2008. I bought FIFA every two years since then. Normally waiting a year until the game goes down in price. I really don't see the point in getting updated games when I can get last years edition for 2.50 second hand instead of paying 50 brand new.

I've come back to PES. And the reason is gameplay. And the fact that FIFA has not changed much in years. Which is not good. Because that's how PES started to fail. It reached a peak and then started to stagnate.

I'll play the PES 2019 demo when it comes out, and if its good it could be the first football game I've bought new since FIFA 14.

There are still a lot of former PES fans out there. Konami just need to entice them back. At the end of the day PES has suffered because past editions have been poor.

I think it's on the up though. It needs to build on last year.

I've just had a look at this and PES 2018 actually did 239,000 sales in it's first week.

http://www.vgchartz.com/article/270...-estimated-239000-units-first-week-at-retail/

PES 2015 - 337,628 Units
PES 2018 - 239,496 Units
PES 2017 - 230,488 Units
PES 2014 - 203,132 Units
PES 2016 - 185,628 Units

This is a lot higher than the 50k that you were claiming

Ok it's possible but evey site says something else.. yeah which one do we have to believe?? :) :)

After checking it out more, the stats you provided related to the units sold in the UK in it's first week. Where it debuted number 3.

The sales in Japan were 64,342 alone, and it went to number 1.

Every year I keep saying this will be the last time I preorder PES. It’s not happening....

I’d rather not give my money to EA.

You know man.. i love both games! Each time i play fifa it gives me joy BUT then when i play pes i think i only will go for pes! The early crosses and the passing is delicious in pes!!
