Stats converter FM2PES

Hi wyffy, i've tried and it works perfectly, and it's good like you said if you edit the whole database.
I want to create myself an FM/PES converter too, but with a different system and trying something more adapted to the PES ratings, and also there will be some things to change yourselve because FM isn't trustfull regarding height/weight.

And those parameters will have an impact on my formulas.

It works well with FMRTE exports on your program (i've tried many youngster with my big save).

But i've got a question, how did you manage to open the FMRTE "csv" exports and transform it to stats/numbers for excel?

It's not on ".csv" while you export, but on another unknown format extension (i don't remember the extension name, whatever) so when i open it in excel, it gives me a weird structure (with a thing like << "attribute name" >> <<number (18 for example) >> )

What i wanted is having a format with every stats in separates cases on excel, like a basic csv... But how can i do this?
Or do you have something else to purpose?

Many thanks mate, this system with FMRTE works very well, and i'm astonished of what you've done only with excel

Hello vialli82

This was the more difficult for me to find, and I should receive money for giving you the answer ;)
What you download from the FMRTE are .pxml, which have the same structure as the .xml.
Find the Workbooks.OpenXML method on the internet. This will allow you to load the ordered content into an excel sheet.

If you want to continue with the line of height and weight as variables, I would also add the age, although I do not like the idea because of some players this data is not known, or they differ in all the sites.
For example, Ricardo Avila, there is no web page where his height appears, and that is going to play the world cup.

Thanks for you explanation wyffy, even if i've got my own way to export a database with FM Genie on CSV.

Btw, i've downloaded the J-league database, and i've exported many players for importing in your converter, just for fun: seriously your system is cool and entertaining: i can even use it as a "guide" for judging if a player is good or not in FM lol.

I use you converter for correcting some attributes for some players already in game, but if they've got some typical errors (if you know evo-web, i've made a list of the errors types in "database check" :) )

The issues with FMRTE when you export some players from an unlocked or custom database, the name of the team doesn't appears while you made an export. But it's not a big deal aswell you allow to export player by players.

For example, i imported Albirex Niigata players (custom data), and imported all the players in your database. That club doesn't appears in your research bar (blank) but the player appears as a free agent.
I've checked and it's an FMRTE export issue (the name of the team appears in FRMTE search bar, but doesn't export in the players informations)

Since now i don't count, but i've updated your database with several players and teams, tell me if you want me to import some teams in particulary.

I use this (unlock all the players hidden)
https://www.fmscout.com/a-fm17-leagues-megapack-by-claassen.html and this for J-league players and below https://www.fmscout.com/a-japanese-football-pyramid-for-fm18.html

I'm happy it's useful.

The problem with FMRTE is that it shows the player's club owner.
For example Douglas Costa. In FMRTE, when exporting the csv, Bayern appears as a club, and not Juventus as it should be.

This I have fixed exporting the entire database with the FMGS, from where you can get the correct club and nationality, that in FMRTE does not appear.

That's why the player's club of the J1 do not appear, because I have not exported them with the FMScout.

But to get the attributes of the players, it serves you perfectly.

PD: I know evo-web and saw your post with the database errors. Incredible work!

Yes it's usefull for now on, even if your standards are different than Konami's one, i adapt.

Example for correcting body control and physical contact errors if you checked my thread on evo-web, i use some kind of calculation based on the difference between your player and the player in pes (if in your FM convertion a player is +4 in comparison to the PES stats, i give -4 for physical contact/body control to keep the balance... It's a bit hard to explain)

And for creating player, i've use your converter by making - or + in some stats to fit, in lower leagues for example i reduce a bit myself or balance the player.

Btw your structure is good and the program works very well and so fast.
I didn't know the issue was the club owner, i only saw a "blank" in the club when i opened a pxml from a J-League player. I don't think that's the case with a .csv from Fm Genie, but who care's: you've thinked to include the function of searching a player...

You've already made a real good work with your converter, what can the users could ask for? Also, you've made the point in your first point: your converter is based on your own standard and is to take as a whole system.

i've founded something that may really fits to PES standards. But there's too much variable for one attribute, based on so many parameters that would take a whole document to explain.

But for the future i think to stick with my first project/ideas: instead of having a FM converter, i'll make a Stats Generator based of the player information, what could we observ about him, what's his level and current form, the way he plays etc., and it will gives some limitations. the more you know the more it will be accurate and precise.

Like you work, the biggest issue is to make it simple and user friendly... You've done this very well mate.

How easy would it be to add the J-League? As I've said, I don't have FM18 and use a Mac so the tool doesn't have full function for me as it is.

Nice! To be fair some things may be edited in your formula.
"Attacking Prowess" -> Well I saw Cavani is very underrated (in PES) when I see suarez stats in both games. So I'm pretty sure "positionning" is far too underrated.
"Lofted pass" -> Key problem. Lofted pass in PES are mainly used for crosses, they should matter FAR more. When I see Messi performing better crosses than Mendy (96v80), there is a problem. Ofc others passing should matter, but a bit less. And vision isn't that important for lofted passes in PES.
Curve -> Here I understand the problem..You did pretty well considering FM stats don't match. Maybe a little underrated for some "mid" players.

Some FM ratings look strange when converted into PES, but the tool is very solid. I'm trying to do the same thing with FIFA but as said previously I don't know how to make the tool even if I have some formulas.
