Thanks for the response, just one more question, I was under the impression that turning off the classic players meant also turning off the players that can be bought in the PES shop, have I got that horribly wrong?

Right, I have checked the cue file and it says exactly what your example says. I have scanned the unpatched image with cdmage, found no errors, and have now burnt the clean image to a cdr to test at home.

I've tried that, the only patches I've used are the JB 1-12-03 and the update. I did overpatch at first, but I learnt the error of my ways thanks to some advice from yourself.
