Yep I usually get the PC version solely to play online, whereas the ps2 version is for playing mates and such.

Having done alot of saving over summer, money is not really an issue for me. However I cannot justify paying £400 for a PS3 especially when the one "ground-breaking" game is delayed until April 2008 or £250 for a console that the seller insists you contact the manufacturer when it stops working...

I'm not particularly bothered about the any new features as such, for me the biggest selling point is the fact that it will no longer fund Peter Brackley's existence.

True it is a console type game through and through. However as long as you've got a control pad then it doesn't really matter (to me anyway). Besides I think if Sega were going to remake it themselves they probably would have done a long time from now.

To sum up, whether the blu-ray format will make PES the better game for it remains to be seen. But I can in fact say that the thread title statement is true before we've even played the game. The reason? Playing PES on anything other than a Playstation control pad just doesn't feel right...
