The PC version has a number of gameplay enhancing patches. I'd say that's one of the primary reasons. Also, it's easier to record and edit PC footage than it is console footage.

You only get award ceremonies for the Best Player awards in Europe and the World, I cannot for the life of me remember what they're called.

Then work around it. Edit an existing player, prefferably one in a shit team, with shit stats that you won't notice anyway in your game. Edit him as much as you like, then move him to your team of choosing. Et voila, your "created" player is now playable.

Ozz, crawl back in under your rock, you troll. I created a completely original player, gave him the appropriate stats and playing cards and placed him in the team of my choosing, and then started a BAL with said player. It works.

I was made captain at the start of the season as a 20 year old for Juventus.

Striker, Speed focused (because you can train the shooting stats fairly quickly, but speed is natural and improves slowly), kept going 'til I got either 1-on-1 scoring or Speed Merchant skill card. Eventually got the latter. 57 starting rating. Four and a half seasons in, I'm at 80 rating.

You don't, since you don't control the team. You are just a player, not the boss. However, by doing well domestically and internationally, you'll help increase the team rank of your team, which will undoubtedly make your team more attractive.

My player has been injured for about two weeks twice. Missed 2 matches each time I believe. It was training injuries though, never been in-game injured yet, not even to receive treatment.

I've also noticed my player sprinting if I so tap a button when the ball is in the air. However, using Super Cancel has become somewhat of a natural thing by now anyway, so it doesn't bother me as much.

Quite a bit of racism here, always nice to see /facepalm. Truth to be told, you're a bit shafted. Your best bet is to restart your save, of hope that you'll pick up a different position as you play on. I try and research how the national team plays before I pick a nationality for my player. Or...
