ok, so i tried signing on the network this morning (on PS3) and all the notices about the new update came up, and it told me to go to "System settings" and click on "download", but when i go to system settings, there's no option anywhere to download anything. what am i missing?

look in one of the BAL threads, there's a picture of all the skills lined out like a spreadsheet and it tells you which ones are affected by those indivdual strengthening areas.

if you go to "strengthen" on your main BAL screen, you can move the sliders back and forth and concentrate on which areas you feel most important for your position; technique (kicking), technique (dribbling), speed, balance, stamina, and one other i can't recall.

yeah, i noticed this when i moved from Pro to Top Player, my teammates stayed on Pro while the opposition was playing on Top Player. at the end of that season i moved back down to Pro. it's a bit more even now, though they still make some dumb mistakes.

my teams are awarded penalties fairly often...probably about as often as real life. and yeah, the taker always seems to be random. i get to take a lot of mid-range free kicks, but have only ever taken one close-range (shooting distance) and have never taken a PK. my keeper has taken PK's a few...
