I'm tired of PES'13, but in that game, whenever I got into a good position, I knew I at least had a good chance to score. In PES'14 I can slam the ball with full power from meters out on a 1 on 1, and the GK is more likely than not to parry the shot... Meh.

There is another side to this problem: Players sometimes accelerate unnaturally when chasing through balls. Would be nice if players just stick to their stats: acceleration, speed, dribble, etc.

Yeah, I hate that too. There are a couple of other significant problems with player development: - Recycle-jobs are reborn at the age of 16 with their original names, and insane skill levels. People like Ibra, De Rossi, Xavi, and Pirlo are reborn red or almost-red (i.e. rating level ~95)...

Get used to it, because once you figure out how to defend, this is the only way in which the AI can score, other than with unstoppable perfect through balls to jet-powered strikers on rails.

I don't really understand dribbling either. In my ML game, I had my superhero short SS striker Gelpi. With him I could beat the entire enemy defense of practically any team once or twice per game. Without tricks - mostly with just sprinting. At other times I would lose the ball just like that...

Shooting and through balls at "basic." For short passing, I had it at the middle (two green bars out of four), but yesterday I changed it to 3/4 assistance. Can't feel much of a difference. But the difference between 1/4 and 2/4 assistance is huge.
