1-1 champions league final one minute of notmal time remaining I get a corner and guess what my keeper decides he's coming up for the corner ball gets punted up the park and I'm 2-1 down has this goalie lark happened to anyone else lol

I was in a 1-1 normal league game in BAL as a CF. Corner happens at the 89th minute for the AI team and there are 2 defenders back but I sat by the sideline. Ball gets cleared straight to me, I'm wide open with the defenders rushing me and my AMF sprinting into the open. I cross the ball out into space and the whistle blows before my AMF reaches the ball. Guess what? The AI had pulled their keeper up for the corner... If I had just shot the ball I'd have had my first goal of the BAL.

^ Yeah although i feel kinda sad for the guy since this happened in 89th minute in CL final, i would really like to be able to decide myself when my keeper should go up on corners

I'm pretty sure you can decide when the gk comes up for corners. Note that this only applies to like the last 5 minutes of a match:

If you go all out attack, he will go up for corners even when you are winning

If you are losing he will come up for a corner (although not sure if you need to go all out attack or this happens automatically)


You go all out attack by pressing back + RB a couple of times (for the xbox 360)

So maybe the OP was on all out attack and thats why his gk went up for the corner.

I've had this happen to me several times during my Master League. Even more retarded though, as it happens when I'm winning the match 1-0, last minute corner, and my keeper comes up. I mean why would my keeper come up when I'm winning a league match 1-0? It happens everytime I'm 1-0 and get a corner in the last minute, not just a one off. I'm just forced to play a short corner and try and keep possession until my keeper decides to get back into his area.

I wouldn't keep possession to wait till my keeper get's back, i'll just blast the ball out as quick as i could

Yeah could do that, but I mean I just keep possession holding up the ball near to the corner flag, out of danger.
