I hope the maintainence work on the 7th resolves the lag issues and maybe even adds some new features to online play! anybody, anywhere got any ideas what this is about?

Never heard of this 7th of July stuff. It had better improve the bloody lag. I can't bear it. I've only played online three times due to it.

When you log in there are 2 messages, both for the 7th, 1 is 2 hours and the other is the normal 1 hour monday morning ranking thing, but that is 3 hours of config time, so hopefully!

If you think that the lag issue will be fixed then you're highly deluded, if they were going to fix it they'd have done it by now, waiting 9 months (since release) to sort it would be farcical to say the least.

It hasn't been fixed and never will be for 2008.

especially when the new game will be out quite soon.

why dont they release a beta of the game for people to play it and find out its flaws?
and they can fix it before full release.

I am an IT Project manager, if I could introduce some new code that could be used in the next version of a release to an exsisting release which is shockingly poor, then I would, it would be a way of testing the code and possibly improving things at the same time.

However, I do appreciate that this could be nothing more than a server move or the likes, but I can live in hope for another few days!

I have been on, there does seem to be a difference, only had 1 game that lagged and even that was manageable. and there also seemed to be some other changes, not so many collision fouls and the keeper seemed to parry more with a few noticeable defender errors. This might all be in my imagination so need another opinion on this!

Whatever they have done has made fuck all difference, in my opinion the lag is even worse than before.
