I am using Daymos' option file. I made the Sturridge transfer and decided to test out Liverpool.
I played Liverpool v. Wigan. The match was back and forth and I clearly see that Konami want us to choose to use the top teams more because of the Player ID feature.
So Wigan had thwarted my attack and were bringing the ball up around 35 out in their own end. I was tracking back but then I jumped the pass path and intercepted it as they tried to move the ball out to the edge. I quickly passed it back to the middle of the pitch and then first timed it to Sterling on the wing and then drove the ball into the box diagonally.
I totally had Wigan wrong footed and scrambling to defend. Both the CB and whoever was around shadowing Sterling collapsed into the box with the shadower creeping out to pressure the threat. I continued to drive the ball toward the end line as I saw Suarez making an incisive run on the back side of the CB. The CB lost track of Suarez as he moved over to support the defender who was closing down Sterling.
I quickly cut the ball back towards my own goal and watched in amazement as Suarez stopped his run from going too deep and instead quickly curved his run back from the 6 box and showed his hands to me asking for the ball. I hit a quick low pass to him and he dummied it through his legs while turning to chase it down as it was rolling dangerously across the face of goal.
The CB panicked and took a step toward Suarez. realized he was too far away and then started sliding to block the shot, the GK was leaning the wrong way near post but scrambled back across the face of goal but it was too late. Suarez buried the sitter.
Around the 75th minute Suarez picked up a through ball from Gerrard about 25 out and drove it forward to the edge of the box, beating his marker with pace and thundered a driven shot into the top shelf to seal the victory.
The logic of Suarez's in the first goal was impeccable. The way he timed his run was brilliant.
To compare to FIFA, that same situation Suarez would have continued his run single-minded towards goal, either A.) Hiding behind the 2 defenders and thus inaccessible for the delivery pass or B.) Just ran to an offside position forcing me to bring the ball back out and wait for him to get back onside.
I can honestly say I have never seen a curved and delayed run in FIFA.
The fact that not only did Suarez execute that in PES, but he knew he did it (because he showed me his hands to say "pass it to me already yeah") it cool as hell.
