Now I'm reading 38.

Mbappe is most definitely not worth 3.5 times more than AS. Maybe twice considering he's 3 years younger, and that's pushing it.
I suspect the fee could be just under €40m with bonuses taking it up towards the €45m mark.

I can't say I know a lot about him to be honest but that international scoring record at all levels :banderas:

I'll talk you through him when I have the time.

That international goalscoring record is the biggest debate between me, my portista friends, and the benfica fans. they say he's shit, a doorknob with legs, and only scores against shit teams.

We say he's good, overhyped, disgracefully misguided since January, and in the NT he's been proper good, finishing his chances. He's not supposed to miss goals just because the opponent is Malta or similar ffs, Ronaldo has also been scoring truckloads but nobody mentions that "argument" with him.

Who did his CL goals come against?

The argument works both ways I guess, Higuain scores lots of goals in lesser games but rarely steps up in big ones as we all know. As a 21-year-old striker and despite the price I'm not expecting him to perform in every big game we play - if the deal goes through - but certainly in some of them and to generally perform consistently. Can he play wide?

Best I can do for you.

He does perform in big games, just not as well for now. That argument is the typical "haters gonna hate stuff", nothing more.

Oh God no. Fucking no. That exactly what happened in January. Until then he was a #9, alone or alongside Jota in a 442, then Soares came, and instead of a 442 it was a mess with Soares and AS roaming the pitch. 99% of the time AS was a "winger". A terrible winger. The result? Goal drought, and was dropped eventually.

NES is a fucking clown sometimes. Most times.

Thanks that does help.

 Montella plays 4-3-3 and Kalinic is a straight-as-you-like striker so although we've not signed him yet, I'm just trying to think ahead about the plans. We still have Lapadula who is also a pure striker and the suggestion is that if we buy both, Lapadula would ask to leave so we'd need a third striker of some (shit) description unless we promote Cutrone from the youth team.

He's not fast enough, good enough dribbler or crosser for a place on the wings. He's not too bad on 1v1s, but definitely not good enough for a winger. He's a striker and that's it.

How many strikers, pure #9s, do you want?

Two specialists plus at least one hybrid who can sort of play there if they have to but prefer the wing. Bacca will go so we'll only have Lapadula and Silva at present.

Welcome :evilsweey3:

Now get scoring!

Joe Hart to the Meelan? :sweey3:

Donnarumma can honestly go and drop dead tomorrow, I don't care. We've given him everything and with the signings we've made so far this season have given him no excuse for his behaviour. Ideally he'd move abroad but I think we all know he'll go to Juventus next summer and has probably already agreed it behind our backs. I don't want to see him playing for the club again or training with the first team. If it is a choice between CL qualification with Donnarumma playing and the EL again, I'll take the latter.

Either rot him at the stands + don't let him train at all with the team for the rest of his contract, or sell him big and use the money to fund a big big signing. Maybe Auba or Belotti although both price tag in my opinion is very over price.
Might as well go to China since he loves money that much:erm:

Looks like he chose his agent over Milan.

For me Raiola single-handedly turned Donnarumma way from a new contract. Only God know what Raiola whispered in his ear.

All that "I love Milan" and "I want to stay" talk and in the end, they're all the same. He could've been a Totti.

I just don't understand how an 18-year-old goalkeeper, offered more money than Buffon, can send his agent to do the dirty work of telling us he doesn't want to renew. He could even renew and then hand in a transfer request next summer regardless of how we do. That wouldn't be good behaviour but it would be a step up from what he is now which is honestly, the most disgraceful footballer (in this regard) I can remember ever coming across. He knows for a fact this hurts us financially in that we can't sell him for a huge fee. That's beyond poisonous.

I honestly don't want to see him involved at all, I don't want us having anything to do with him now. Shame on any club that goes for him, no matter how much talent he has. There were numerous other ways to leave before even reaching the age of 21.

Reporters in Italy are absolutely stunned.

"Everyone knows that my wish is to stay at Milan. I'm looking for a house in the city"
I wonder who says this just a few days ago. I seem to forget...

The hunt for his replacement begins. Names linked so far:

Neto - Not the first time I've heard his name and would cost €10m.

Mattia Perin - Is yet to progress from being promising and a highly talented youngster into a great goalkeeper. Has been out of action with knee ligament damage since January

Joe Hart - A name I saw a while ago but with him not having any options and knowing Serie A, a loan move isn't out of the question (if City are willing to forego a full-on sale)

Pepe Reina - No contacts made thus far.

Wojciech Szczesny - If his move to Juventus "falls through". If it does, that would be an indication to me that a certain other person is likely going here next summer, albeit Real Madrid and PSG are the supposed destinations for that one.

I might secretly hope he concedes lots and turns shit when the pressure gets to him (which it won't) so I can cheer on a proper jobber instead.

Not sure how to feel about the Euro under-21s now because that cunt is in goal.
