Antonio Donnarumma on a €1m/year contract. Which is pretty much Gigio Donnarumma on a €6+1m/year contract.

Is he the best paid athlete at the club now?

If he signs, he's the third-highest paid player in Serie A....and he's well clear of Buffon. He'll just leave next summer in that case.

He's definitely rejected PSG's offer of €13m per season plus Antonio on €1m per season, three cars for use by the whole family and three villas.

He's clearly in it because he loves the club. Definitely not because of the money, cars and villas. I mean, who even wants a villa, let alone 3? Imagine the gardening expenses.

Sweey Bonucci?? How on earth?
I can scarcely believe the pace of this. There's no guarantee he will or has signed but we're meant to be very, very close. His relationship with Allegri seems to have completely broken down but apparently his family don't want to leave Italy. Sort of shocked Inter aren't in for him as well - yet.

He also says Bonucci to Milan is past the rumour status, currently in negotiations. I won't believe it until it's done.

Why would Juve ever sell Bonucci? Even if him and Allegri are not on the same page, he's one of the best centre backs in the world.

Edit: there are papers saying Bonucci's deal could be agreed tonight. Lightning fast.

The bag for Antonio Donnarumma :lmao:

Their relationship (Bonucci-Allegri) is absolutely done from what I understand and Juventus are one of those clubs who would sooner be rid of a player who wants to go than try to persuade him to stay. We've agreed his contract but the negotiation with Juventus, which we want to close very quickly, is only just beginning.

In all honesty though, the price is absurd - just €40m for the youngest (turned 30 in May) of their brilliant trio? They do have Benatia and Rugani, plus Caldara joining next summer but they'll surely lose Barzagli soon.

We've got Biglia - €17m plus €3m in bonuses.

I don't quite understand it either. They could sell him for €60m if the wanted. But apparently he doesn't want to leave Italy.

Do you think Inter will still try and make a bid?

I can't wrap my head around why they haven't unless they've lied about all the money they have available. It sounds as though it is starting to become a bit too late for them to make a bid.

This deal, as wonderful as it would be for Milan, just doesn't make sense. I don't understand, much like you, Juventus' true motivation here. Yes the relationship has broken down but they could trigger a bidding war unless they're just hell-bent on never dealing with Inter? Roma and Napoli couldn't get Bonucci so Inter really are the only alternative to us (in Italy).

One thing I must say is that Fassone unlocked the Biglia deal, his diplomacy was the key driver in the Donnarumma reversal, it was he who saved the purchase of the club by finding the US hedge fund Elliott and getting them to put so much money in and he's done a lot more.

Everything Fassone has done from now that we are aware of in the public domain has been absolutely magnificent and I'll openly say I didn't want him at Milan when he was announced as our CEO under the Chinese a long time ago and he's proven me, up to this point, as wrong as I could possibly have been.

There are undoubtedly many challenges ahead but that man deserves extensive plaudits.

Indeed. The bench would be

Gabriel
Gomez Paletta Ely
Calabria Locatelli Bertolacci Mauri Antonelli
Suso Lapadula

or something along these lines. Not bad, not bad at all.

Bonucci will be in Milan........tonight!

Reb: Don't forget Borini and Jose Mauri (who is hopefully given a chance to play and grow rather than be loaned out) :sweey3: Gabriel is fucking off, we'll have Storari as backup. Paletta will leave, Lapadula and Bertolacci are going to Genoa and Suso looks like he's going to be sold (although I hope he isn't). One truly shit bench you posted there regardless.

We definitely need a bit more depth - squad players.

We've been talking to Rachid Ghezzal on and off about joining on a free transfer. Roma want him as well.

Is today deadline day? Bonucci going to Milan tonight seems insane. It is almost 11:30pm in Italy.

I had Mauri there. If your post turns out to be true your bench is half the size and quality it needs to be to even get half-decent status.

If Bonucci's deal is finished up tonight this will be one of the swiftest deals ever made, surely. I mean, the rumours started today. Even James was talking to Kroos about Bayern 5 months ago.

This is some properly sound business. I wish Porto would learn from you. We need a new boss.

That sneaky bastard Mauri hiding from my eyes

I'm hearing Bonucci will undergo a medical tomorrow but there could be an element of the media getting carried away in this. Still can't fathom quite what has gone on because there must be something more to the relationship breakdown the more I think about it. Still, that's a concern for another time.

I would say I'm beyond pissed that we signed Rudiger when we could have got Bonucci for less, but then I think you said he wants to stay in Italy? Also, it's clear that clubs on the continent have one price for each other and another price for Premier League clubs. So I reckon we'd have had to given Juve £50m to even begin negotiations.

Yes, I've read that somewhere. I think his wife is sick?

I agree, even if it defies the norm. They are selling a fulcral player to a direct competitor, logic would say you'd increase the price.

Yep, his son has a serious medical condition which was picked up last summer so he didn't want to leave Italy.

Absolutely and to be honest, it is deserved when someone like Kyle Walker can go for £50m.

Yes, I've read that somewhere. I think his wife is sick?
Son as above.

All reports I read say Bonucci to Milan is done.

Amazing.
:megasweey2::megaevilsweey2:

He'll be earning a base annual salary of €6-8m with up to €2m in bonuses and should become our new club captain.

Bonnuci's son is a Torino fan because of Belotti. I wonder if Milan try to heal his son by bringing Belotti to Milan. What a touching story that would be. Good guys Milan :hogan:
