Bonnuci's son is a Torino fan because of Belotti. I wonder if Milan try to heal his son by bringing Belotti to Milan. What a touching story that would be. Good guys Milan :hogan:
Different son :> - Lorenzo is the Torino fan and Matteo is the younger one who has been/is ill.

I actually came into this thread to post that we're reportedly "€20m short" for Belotti with our latest bid of €40m plus Niang and Paletta - with the value of that bid somehow being treated as €65m

Ah, seems it is €45m plus Niang and Paletta - that would make a total of €65m correct. Paletta's agent is playing hardball though, doesn't want his client to leave, presumably unless paid off.

Aubameyang is our first-choice striking option and Massimiliano Mirabelli, our director of sport, is in China with the team to speak to Borussia Dortmund. A €60m bid and €7.5m for the player is the offer on the table.

Belotti is our second-choice striking option and Torino reportedly want, as mentioned yesterday, €60m plus Niang and Paletta while we've offered €40-45m (inconsistent reporting of this figure in the media) plus those two.

Morata is our third-choice striking option and Bonucci has reportedly called him to persuade him to join.

Nikola Kalinic, an option we seem to have shelved, is trynig to force a move to us by abandoning Fiorentina and going home to Croatia. I'd only be happy with his arrival if it came in addition to Aubameyang or Belotti rather than instead of. A squad containing only Andre Silva and Kalinic for the striking role(s) is simply not good enough.

Back in midfield, there are reports we've offered Bayern Munich €7m for a two-year loan of Renato Sanches with an option to buy for €40m.

On Bonucci and the relationship breakdown: Buffon has sent him a farewell message, Bonucci has responded. Bonucci has thanked Juventus but not Allegri. Chiellini has said nothing but changed his avatar. Allegri had supposedly demanded that either Bonucci leave or he would. What I will venture is this: I've always considered Bonucci the weakest defender of the three (Barzagli, Chiellini the others) although he's better on the ball than either.

Barzagli doesn't mess up, but he isn't that good either. Too old-school, no-nonsense type of centre back, and oddly not that good in the aerial department.

I think we'll get PEA and you'll end up with Belotti, which may be good for you, as Milan has always had an Italian presence towards it, unlike Inter for instance.

I'd be very happy with Belotti. Perhaps happier than I would be with Aubameyang actually as I think he may suit our formation better, albeit the price is obscene.

Belotti's a very good striker, would do well at Milan if that move happens.

Still in shock that Milan have got Bonucci from Juve. What a signing, what a statement.

Locatelli is highly rated but the move would be on a two-year loan without a purchase option from what I understand. We'd be stupid to sell him and thankfully our hierarchy feel the same.

Niang's value is around €15-18m while Paletta is essentially worthless as he's such a liability. Umberto Cairo, Torino's owner, is meeting Belotti this evening. Up until now Belotti hasn't asked to be sold but it is known in the Italian media that Belotti's head isn't in the right place in the face of our interest and people are expecting that he will use the meeting to tell Cairo that he wants to join us. Whether that brings the price down enough for a deal to be struck I don't know.

Kalinic is coming next week for around €25m + bonuses

I read yesterday that Aubameyang has supposedly rejected a contract renewal at Dortmund because he wants to join us (probably more realistic that he wants to join any English, Italian or Spanish club who wants him). Belotti looks virtually impossible as Torino's demands remain very high and aren't coming down. Their president has also promised Belotti that he can leave after next summer's World Cup.

We're still trying for Renato Sanches (two-year loan with obligation to buy) as Bayern are happy with that structure but we differ on the purchase value. Likely that if we don't agree a fee quickly, United will get him.

I've read that Dortmund "won't sell" Aubameyang this summer. But I've also read Alexis won't leave Arsenal this summer, and that Ronaldo wouldn't return to Real Madrid, so what do I/we know?

What do you think of Renato? Would you like him?

According to newest rumours (from German newspaper "Bild"), Auba will leave Dortmund this winter and then go to China for about 70 million €. Dortmund already denied this rumour but tbh I'd rather expect a move to China than a move to Milan..

He's 19 and clearly has raw talent and potential so yes, I would like him. He's an expensive risk given that his performances at Bayern weren't great but he wasn't given many changes over the course of the season and I think it is a risk that would ultimately pay off well.

A nice start to the new Serie A season (Lazio the only big club from our first six) but then we have Roma and Inter back-to-back. Other fixtures being revealed live right now.

According to L'Equipe, we're on the verge of signing Renato Sanches in some sort of deal for €40m. We met with Jorge Mendes earlier this week, discussing Sanches, Diego Costa and Anwar El Ghazi. There was some talk that we'd discussed Radamel Falcao as well but that hasn't really been picked up much in the media.

Our first game is tomorrow. No Bonucci, Biglia, Calhanoglu or Suso.

L'Equipe are wrong, Marco Fassone (CEO) says Sanches is too expensive and we're not currently negotiating.

So the concerns about where our transfer funds are coming from may have to be addressed and digested by fans sooner rather than later.

So after tonight's win (which saw good performances from a number of players including, once again, Kessie, and another great save from Donnarumma), Montella has said that Bonucci and Biglia will play in our next match (which is after August 11th). That's a bold statement considering the negative response from the first bank we approached about bonds. On that front, the club are said to be working quietly to negotiate with other banks but ultimately I still feel there's a big problem here.

:lmao:

Superb atmosphere and it was nice over 40,000 were there as on Tuesday it looked as though we'd only get 25,000. As great as the result is and the performance was, Shkendija were pretty abysmal at the back. The number of times we made it through with a simple one-two was ridiculous. Plus Borini managed to score so they must be shit.

Both of Andre Silva's goals were good but his second :banderas: - still not sure how he didn't end up with a hat-trick or more.

On the downside, Shkendija could've scored three but then we could have had 15.

Here are some highlights:

I managed to watch around half the match. The other guys were atrocious when defending. So many wasted chances by Milan.

Borini wasn't half bad actually, from the little I saw.
