What are the European Masters Cup and the European Championships? how do you play them?

There is no actual patch as such for consoles regarding classic players. You need an option file from the 'Completed Files' area on this site. Check through them and find one with all classic players & teams unlocked and renamed. Im sure some have this included so have a look through them.
This is not an option file. Just information for people who do their own editing. For the quick fix method go to the 'Completed Files' area and download one of the current option files. They vary so pick one that suits you but most will have all the necessary corrections regarding kits, names, transfers etc.
These are the cups included in the Master League. As there are no licenced cups in that mode they have fake names.
Finish in the top 4 in the league to qualify for the European Championships and then win it to unlock players.
Qualify for the European Championships and finish in either 3rd or 4th in your group, resulting in being knocked out of that cup to qualify for the European Masters Cup. Then win that cup to unlock players.

Joking aside, i have no idea why this would happen tbh. Maybe try checking the settings. Make sure the commentry volume is up and switched on. If it is, maybe try turning it off or changing the commentary language for a match and then turning it back on or back to english language and start a match then to see if it comes back on. Ive never had that problem myself so im just saying the sort of stuff id try if it did happen to me. I hope something works for you anyway man

Does anyone know if there is PES2009 option file floating around with up to date teams and 09/10 Kits?
I'm sorry if there is, I have looked all over and cant find one. I'm still playing with last seasons kits and although I have updated the transfers as best I can, It's hard to get them all.

. Actually ive just been through the mid season negotiations and managed to improve on my ML team so i need to update that info once i write down the details. Traded about 5 players to sort out a couple of weak spots and got rid of players that aint worked out but the BIG buy that had me smiling from ear to ear was Silva (the awesome one from Valencia). He really completes my starting 11 imo and although he came at a heavy price he has already shown his worth.
