I'll probably get slaughtered for this but is anyone else dissapointed with the demo on ps2. I've played it for hours and although I've scored a few decent goals, I just havent enjoyed playing it much, the passing seems very hard and random, dribbling past people seems just a lottery with no skill involved, and almost all the games ive played have been dull and boring.

I've been playing the series for years and hope to god I get used to it coz I would be gutted if they finally get the game online but the gameplay is ruined. I suppose I should wait for the full game before slagging it, just hope im wrong.

What does everyone else think of the demo?

Its the best game to date.... I got the demo and haven't been able to stop playing it and I'm in total awe of it, I never thought they'd make PES difficult again, but they have this time and it's great! Solid! PES 4 was crap! To easy to dribble and score, PES 5 isn't - so it's more like real football. Just work at it, you'll get better and it will be more rewarding. Took me a while to get into it, and it's full of suprises

Ok i'll just have to stick with it and hope I get used to it.

What camera angle have you lot been playing it on, I've used wide angle to help with the passing but its a little too far out for taclking and dribbling?

Don't worry, you'll get used to PES5's style soon. Don't play it as it if were PES4, approach it in a more patient way. I used Long camera while I was getting used to it but Wide is cool now.

i am really impressed with the demo, it takes some getting used to but now i have learned how to play all over again, i cant wait for the real thing. The demo is frustrating but only because it is so short. If you get bored of the pes demo, go on WRC rally evolved and beat 02:21:88 in the xsara on the GB stage, with all driver aids off!

the only problem is the length of games, i am sure i will love it when the full version comes out

Agreed. I get frustrated that after a game is over you have to go right back to the splash screen and select everything again. Teasers...
The demo is class. My mate did the Ronaldinho 'elastico' with Ronaldo and completely fooled my defenders before setting up a great volley from Owen. The shots and passing are so fluid and the animation is looking superb. Cant wait until next Friday :)

I think the main thing to remember for this demo (when compared to PES4) is that passing/moving all the time sometimes isn't the best option. On PES4 if you kept the ball moving all of the time you rarely lost possession and it was fairly easy to get chances, whereas when I tried this on PES5 I just kept on running into people. Now when I get the ball I try to take my time and slow the play down a little and it's helped loads........

Dunno if anyone else has found this.
