i have all three console but i must say that i have not been on my gamecube for a long time. Even though the last game i bought was for my gamecube( MarioKart) which was fun but became repetitive.

in Harvest moon u start with some seeds and some poor tools and start with a little plot of land, you then build it up with cattle, and chickens. U can also go around the village a make freinds and enermies and find someone to marry.

Animal crossing in about walking aorund the village having fun and finding ways to make money so u can buy funiture for example. The game progresees even though u are not playing. so the village changes and people move in and out of it. The game is real time and last forever. u can sit and watch the village change as the seasons pass. oh yes the characters are like little animals

I got ahold of Harvest Moon for the SNES for a laugh. Thought a game about farming couldn't interest me. I was pleasently supprised to find the game plays very well. It's a nice change from shooting things in games, all in all nice, relaxing gameplay. Got myself the PS1 version which also impressed. Now I've got a cube for the purpose of playing HM and of course Wind Waker, only to find HM is sold out everywhere. Woe is me, I'll wait 4 weeks for my amazon order...

I read some reviews about Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon and they said the same thing... 'It's a nice change from shooting things in games

I might buy it, does it keep the player interested??

I wouldn't know about Animal Crossing (only just heard of it when it was recommended to buyers of Harvest Moon) but HM certainly keeps me entertained. I can understand why it isn't everyone's cup of tea though.
