They might be taking losses, but that doesn't mean they're in debt. Chelsea are still filthy rich, it's just less documented now because of the recent successes of Man City.

it is all confusing to me; spending too much time looking at expenditures of football clubs and India (other thread) and my head is spinning. Seems like Chelsea pulled a fast one by creating a separate company that actually takes on the loan and debt from the football club. Nonetheless, Abrham. and shareowners are burdened with this. this from soccerlens.com albeit from 2010.

Ranking Club Debt
1. Manchester United £716m
2. Chelsea (Limited) £701m
3. Valencia C.F £501m
4. Liverpool £351m
5. Real Madrid £296m
6. FC Barcelona £273m
7. AS Roma £271m
8. Schalke 04 £234m
9. Arsenal £203m
10. Fulham £198m

I hear Anzhi still interested in taking Arshavin ? Russian transfer market still open.

We are allegedly still in talks with Anzhi over Arshavin. As you say, the Russian transfer window stays open for a while (until February 28th, I believe). If we are to sell him, rumours are going about that we'd sign Alex Hleb as a replacement, because he's currently a free agent :w00t

Although it looks like he'll be signing for Olympiakos.

I know, Bammers05, but I wish you'd just come out and say Manchester City right off. I don't know how filthy rich Chelsea are anymore, maybe them should count as well.

Some clubs are simply unhealthily rich, and I'm not saying that out of envy, but from a love for football. "Buying success" is commonly frowned upon, and with good reason. A certain degree of buying and selling has been commonly accepted in this sport, but City has crushed all sensibility with last few years of purchase. It's simply WAY too much, and I don't like it. If Spurs ever did anything like that, I would actually lose the intense love I feel for this club. I can't say if I would lose all interest, but that could happen. Bottom line is that I would not like it, but I'm unsure where that "line" is... but I know City has crossed it a long time ago.

No need to talk about who is a doing a better job because you are not in our league this is the only season where you are doing well and seem to be on track to end up better than us but it aint over buddy:

And for the past 15 years We have spent 310 million, sold 294 million and so have been spending net 1million per year on players with wenger :ninja::blush::D top that man:tongue::innocent:

Seems like we're set to be in control of this game, let's hope there's not a repeat of last time we played Blackburn.

You've been spending time on statistics without background knowledge on how to read them?

No one is "right behind" City in spending, Chelsea a few years back may come in the vicinity, but "right behind" is rubbish from the bottom of your brain.

OX OX OX OX! What a finish!

3-1

EDIT: Filth disgusting tackle, could've broken RVPs leg. A red card thoroughly deserved.

Right behind you are in the link i provided, chelsea are top and city are second and you guys are 3rd,if that isnt right what is?Being last is?

And theo walcott has been real bad,its like he is 10 years old again,no awareness whatsoever:

He has self programmed himself to get behind the full back and put balls blindly in the box(when in a situation where he cannot do that he just loses it)....and he actually ruined the move for the 3rd goal by giving the ball to robin when he should have dashed ahead/diagonally  robin had a player infront of him,one coming from behind and another approaching from walcott's side but he somehow turned around into space for a few seconds with his technique and picked out AOC who was perfect.

I am really baffled by walcott, really after seeing him pull hat trick against croatia, terrorise barcelona at the emirates when we first met in the knock-out round, making messi and pep guardiola say ''he was one of the toughest opponents they have ever played against'' and in those milan ties when fabregas scored the winner...i really do not know what has happened to him, even last season he was good i guess and scored his highest amount of goals.

Believe it or not, rosicky is finding his feet again..

Walcott is proving me wrong i the 2nd half,he keeps his cool ignores rvp's run gives the ball to Ox who was better placed and gives a very good finish.

Yes, he's employed some great abilities. :shifty:

If any team can lose a 3-1 lead to this 10 man Blackburn side, it's us. I'm not going to celebrate until the final whistle.

How about now it's 5-1? :smug:

Arteta made it 4 then Chamberlain got his second of the game. He's doing great :w00t
