a question to the point 4 in the original thread regarding the DVDR and the burning speed.

Does it make any difference burning a DVDR at the same speed from the same brand but with different speed disc? I.e., burning "4x Ritek DVDR" and "8x Ritek DVDR" at burning speed at x2?
Could the speed of the disc itself damage the PS2 laser or is it mere fast burning speed might damage the leser?

i have tried to down load the patch from the link, but i must be missing something as i never get to down load the patch, i alway seem to down load a tiny file please help me as i think one more night of anger awaits

Are you trying to download the patch from a bit torrent site? If so you will need a bit torrent manager such as Azureus (do a Google search and download and install it first, it's free). Then when you click on the file choose 'Open' and Azureus will automatically start to download the relevant files.

is there a way of applying this patch to a hdd? i have a hdd plugged into the back of my ps2. can i plug the hdd into my pc, i already have my pro evo game installed on the hard drive, then apply the patch to my already installed game? alternatively can i use dvd decrypter to extract the iso from my game then patch it then transfer the game onto my hdd which i plug into my ps2?

Depends on your PS2. Mine doesn't play DVD-RWs.

And I believe that you need to patch it before copying to the PS2 hard drive.

Mine plays DVD-RWs, but I only found this out a couple of days ago! The patch needs to be applied to the ISO BEFORE it is transfered to the HD I believe.

yo guys having a bit of trouble tracking down the jonboyos patch cant find it any where also will this screw with my master league coz i got some classic players in it could some one please post a link to the patch thanks in advance

If the links to the patches are not working, it'll probably be best to use an FTP program like FlashFXP and connect to lomungtung's ftp site to download them.

If you use a patch with no option file imported, then it will only change the way your game looks. So your ML will work fine - not sure about the kits in ML though. Good way to get a great-looking game is to play the patched game with a good option file released for the patched version (in File Downloads) and then start ML again.

You are still creating an ISO. Just go into winrar and change the files it recognises. It make no difference at all though but it will stop it being classed as a winrar file.

how do you know whether ppf-o-matic has patched the iso. the file sizes remain the same for the original iso and the patched one..? confused
