Do you need a chipped playstation 2 to do all this, cos i want to put the real kits on but i havnt a clue, i've heard about KELs but no idea what that is.?

I don't know what "KELs" is either.
All the info you need is in the sticky threads. Check the important threads index thread. Yes you need a chipped or modded PS2 to play a patched game.

hey i got a chipped ps2 and can only play dvd+r,its called the magic 3.1(i can turn the chip on and off)

btw i already have the v2 option file,im guessing this patch will add on funky stuff.

my question is:

my copy of pes4 is copied from an original PES4 meaning my copy of pes4 is on a dvd+r disc,will it be possible to add the patch.

Just reading the guide and you'll see how to make a patched version. Make an image from the original and patch that and burn it.

Same here mate. ppf-o-matic 3 says that ISO is patched successfully but the size of the ISO does not change from the original 1.71 gb. I am using Johnboyos 30/10 patch which is 397, 415kb once unrarred, so surely the patched ISO should be bigger? Hope some kind person can help here.Sure it must be something really simple, but I can't find any detailed info. in all the threads in the editing forums.

Just to add (like driver 3 above)I am also using a copied version of the game which was burned from the original. Surely this should make no difference as it is an exact 1:1 copy?

Pes4 update

i am new to pactching pes4. I have a 3-4 yr old ps2 working fine. It has no modications and has not been chipped. I have the original pes4 and want to egt update for the real kits and transfers etc.

can anybody help me. will i need to chip my ps2?

The ISO will not change in size after applying the patch. The patch REPLACES things that are already in the game and this means that the size increase is minimal to say the least. The ISO will still show as 1.71GB.

Using Action Replay 2 with Knife Trick, Slide card etc Tech

I'm fairly new to the forum but was wondering whether Action replay 2 can be used as a bootdisk instead of Swap magic. If it can i'd love to speak with someone who has done it.
