it all comes down to 3 options for how to get long range shooting:
1. registered as a MF.
2. currently playing as a MF.
3. MF position ticked.

yeah, i think it's possible. it also seems that sometimes even if you have the right stats, you don't get a check mark if you do not perform that ability very often.

anyways, i uploaded my stats on the other thread.

I'm starting to think that you're not on PC and that might have something to do with it, though it shouldn't. You have the stats for outside the boot, but it's not ticked.

Maybe you need to do something + the right stats to get it.:)

Can you only get special abilities for you registered position?

For example, I was originally a SMF, but now I can play CF, CMF and WF. I have the stats to get the reaction and playmaking abilities but I dont have them ticked. Whats the reason behind that?

I got one those. I was originally a SS. But I scored 3 goals in a match and positioned myself really well and got the reaction and positioning special abilities.

you need stats to get postioning not positioning well in game.

^I know, but as I said, for some strange reason, the positioning wasn't given to me until I positioned myself perfectly in some matches.

Skanky cheat for anyone who is bothered. You're only supposed to be able to get 8 stars/ticks according to the manual. I have 9!

Basically I had 7 and then teamwork clicked over to 75, and I got two more that I was due to get - Reaction and Positioning.

So, with decent planning you can get to 9 stars, though I don't see a way of getting more than that!
