While I know my absence won't make a difference to Konami and they'll still keep making money since PES is such a huge franchise , I'm still gonna complain and get this out of my system .

Konami has lost me permanently . I've really had it with their nonsense in this game series . It makes the game unplayfuckingable . Pique can run with the ball faster than freaking Gareth Bale without the ball ? Nonsense ! Messi can fire cannon shots from 38 meters away that put freaking Roberto Carlos's shots to shame that De Gea can't respond to at all ? Nonsense ! Wayne freaking Rooney is right in front the goal and the keeper , and I mean RIGHT IN FRONT of the goal and the keeper with NO ONE between them and the keeper has a wide area to his left open that I properly target with correct controls yet he shoots directly at the keeper ? BLOODY NONSENSE !!

I have been complaining about their sadistic scripting ever since PES 2010 and that's only because this is as far as I can remember , the audacity of scripting has been reported long before that . You can't tell me they "didn't know" or they "didn't have the time to address this issue yet" . No , that's utter nonsense . Over 6 years are way more than enough to notice and address this . Not to mention that it's a prick move to install such an atrocious system in the game in the first place ! Whoever are in charge of development are just a bunch of pricks .

So that's it , I'm done . I skipped 2014 and 2015 because of this in 2013 and what's before it hoping that maybe , just maybe , they'd be more intelligent that a bunch of moths drawn to fire but no , they're just a bag of pricks . Whoever knows about this among them and still doesn't remove it while they can can go jump outta window . I didn't buy the game to watch Konami play it instead .

Not read a rant like that for a few years, really does bring back... let's just say 'memories'.

I do recall PES6 being the first PES where I could say I felt the scripting. It could be annoying, but not in the way subsequent instalments have shown to be. If Konami were to dig out PES4, bring it up to scratch graphically, then there would be and I take my lead from the OP here, a fucking, fuckload of happy fucking PES playing fuckers in the world.

OK , sorry , fair enough . When I wrote this , I was just SUFFERING in the final of UCL against Atletico Madrid and I had Man United . While Atletico is really an excellent team - one of the Spanish "Big Three" - which definitely gives United a challenge even at the latter's peak some years ago , that doesn't mean in any way that their freaking center backs can shoot stronger and more accurately than freaking Drogba and De Gea can't even RESPOND ! It doesn't mean that freaking Fellaini can be pushed around by some - relatively - tiny guy from behind and have the ball taken from him easily . It doesn't mean that freaking Mata takes more time than ME - YES , I'm REALLY bad - in real life to trap the ball and turn around only to have it stolen by some guy who was 15-18 meters away from him when he received it . And don't get me started on the bloody biased referee when scripting kicks in .

I swear , I don't mind losing to someone better . My cousin used to beat me 60% of the times we played and I enjoyed those times . Heck , I lost quite a number of matches against the AI because I got careless or just because it had the better team and I didn't mind . And I REALLY refrain from cursing as much as possible . But this , this is utterly SADISTIC . When frustration accumulates over time , when you know you're the better side and you're doing your best yet the developers decided to screw you up and give you the middle finger , you're definitely going to rage at one point unless you stop playing altogether . It doesn't help that our complaints which have been going for YEARS are entirely ignored . To give you a comparison , the worst it could get for me when I have a really hard time against Devil May Cry bosses is that I'd frown and say things like "Shoot" or "Dammit" , but when I face hardcore scripting , I LITERALLY have the urge to grab something solid and smash it into little pieces except that I somehow keep my composure so that I don't regret later .

There's always a thought that goes through my head as I'm about to smash the controller -- "hang on... these bastards cost about £40!". That usually does the trick.

I'll always remember one particular match of PES 4 (or maybe 5), that actually brought me to tears of rage/frustration. I had to lie down for a bit afterwards. Icing on the ol' cake was when Fernando Cavenaghi (who was the best striker in my ML side) managed to let the ball go through his legs 4 yards in front of goal, despite me pressing shoot. I just lost it....

I totally understand- the scripted goals in PES 2016 got me pretty irritated.

When I was younger, my temper would get the better of me; I've smashed controllers, snapped CD's/DVD's... because of scripting in games, that's what I can't stand. I don't mind losing a game, in fact I like that realism when playing in a league format (it would be boring and unrealistic to win nearly every game).

These days, I don't let it get me totally angry- or at least I don't 'act out' because a game has got me mad. I had to stop playing online because people disconnecting when I was winning would really infuriate me! I'm no longer in my twenties, I don't want to have a heart attack because of a stupid (heavily scripted game)!

Yeh scripting, whats it all about.
I understand a Master League needs a variance of matches, some tougher than others , some easier and some really tricky games like playing a team fighting against relegation might be harder than a mid table team. Its the way the scripting manifests itself though thats the problem. Yes by all means give a team a boost in tackling, fighting spirit,heading, pace if they are desperate for a result or boost players shooting or passing ability if they are on a good run and full of confidence. Stamina and workrate boost for a team well rested for example.
What we get is players in your team responding like drunks or your goalkeeper giving up or your centre backs woefully out of position and then a scripted low shot goal.
You have to just think its only a game when it goes against you, think what you could do better, have a break for 10mins, tinker with formations etc. Im struggling on Top player ML but i aim to stick at it, there will be players out there that can win easy at Top player so i can too if i work at it.
That doesnt excuse this years low shot inside box computer goal bollox, fix that and i think Konami have a 9/10 game. Oh and absolutely no need for scripting momento onlinemits 1 player vanother and the only handicap should be the clubs you pick to play as.

Its the tinkering with the game thats messing it up. Playing it on manual passing should be the default option. Its like ping pong if you use pass assist level 2 or 3. Nothing like football at all.
There should be 2 options only in the way the game is set up so that it can be divided into 2 groups . Have a Simulation mode(manual pass,shooting) for us serious gamers and an easier fun Arcade mode thats assisted level1 passing with a refined basic shooting level thats easier than manual but with the need to be skilled at it to score screamers into the top corner.

Indeed . I still try to get used to manual passing and shooting so I only use assist passing level 1 . Anything higher would instead wreck the gameplay . And while FIFA also has its pros and sides where it surpasses PES , I'm still not going to buy it , the scripting is as bad and some even report it to be far worse .

You think losing miserably against Atletico Madrid is bad ? I played against fucking Leeds and Priston . Barely managed to win 1-0 against Leeds and fucking suffered against Priston . Every fucking time they'll magically deliver 100% accurate through passes , the defenders will fucking stop dead in their tracks , and they'll fucking score every single fucking time . Keep in mind that this is a fucking two star team with a keeper of a 68 rating . Yet , he can fucking stop the most powerful shots I make at point blank range ! And once again , I restart the game on regular just to avoid the frustration caused by this fuckery of whatever fucker is responsible at Konami .

If someone with anger management issues one day goes to your headquarters and shoots everyone dead , don't ever say that thousands and tens of thousands of people never warned you and told you to stop being assholes .

No , my players were not in terrible form . Most of them were in top form . And no , they were not cowardly playing complete possession game . They constantly attacked from every possible angle yet it's fucking impossible to stop them no matter what . If I tackle them and they trip , the ball sticks to their legs like glue , if I succeed in a standing tackle , the ball will ALWAYS , no matter what , go back to them , if I slide tackle one of them , he fucking falls in the same place OVER THE BALL so that I can't get it , if I succeed in a sliding tackle and I do take the ball , my player will fucking stumble on himself for 3 fucking seconds , more than enough for the guy who just got launched in the air by my tackle to stand up again and reclaim it , if a miracle happens and I succeed in a sliding tackle , the opponent's player doesn't fucking fall on the fucking ball , and my player doesn't fucking stumble on himself like a few months old baby learning to stand , another one of their players who was 15 fucking meters away reaches me and takes the ball in 3 to 4 seconds ! YES , I COUNTED ! That's fucking 4 to 5 meters PER FUCKING SECOND ! That , is a big middle finger to freaking Usain Bolt !

So fuck you again , Konami . And screw any idiotic moron who defends them and denies that this plague exists .

Gk are annoying. I had to play a 5-4-1 formation. Still i let in a lot of goals. Lack of cards and fouls annoys me the most. I downloaded pes 5 and pes 2009 this week. Love them both. Think 2010 was when it went doen hill.
