Can't win online

Played 8 games won only once lost all other games by 1 goal.why do I get paired with div1 players when I'm in div5.anyone got any formation tips to get out the rut I'm in

there is an entirely different pace to learn when playing online. It takes a while to learn and comes with a bad record. I struggle because lag sometimes affects my passing - I will hold that pass button down too hard because the split second delay and I smack the ball too hard and past the player or out of bounds.

when I first read abu97 reply I thought he was just saying use Barcelona. that would be a funny answer.

tell you what, if you will play online in quickmatch you will play vs Real or Barca 99% of the time. You could play players that are way weaker than you with little knowedge of the game and still lose because they will eventually sneak in a goal no matter how good you are.

You will work your ass off to create a few half chances and they will score with 1 shot on goal .... You will have shooting 8-12 and them 1-1 and they will win 1-0 Frustrating yes but ...Now when they pick those teams I pick Argentina, that way I have Messi + Tevez and Aguero and DiMaria and even Pastore who are all beats! I beat them fair and square but I have as much an advantage as they do on offense...

If my opponent picks a regular team I will do the same but Im done picking Juve or Palermo and getting robbed by these online losers who pick superteams!

The sliders and tactics for Barca are default "Possession game".
I think counter attack is the safest tactic online, you clog the defense and catch them on tbreak with a wide open field

counter attack gives you a higher defensive line which is irritating at times

Yeah I think you need a deep defensive line on this pes, as through balls get you a lot.

Actually my through balls get intercepted an awful lot and dont really go where I want them, I have my pass assistance on mid, should I just turn it off? I feel like im quite creative with my passes but when I first tried it, passes were all over the place!

I think that was part of the through ball fix for this year. Through ball last year were like butta.

for online settings you can add that you only want to play teams around your rating...somewhat flawed as you will get the 600 plus D1 teams but not as many as you do when you don't have the setting on. I played MLO for ages and would get humped by the D1 players and their allstar rosters, pass it to CR7 and let him run. You need to learn to defend that is all i can say.

Get you player in position using R2+x and then let go of R2 to for the challenge or block the pass, use second player pressure and suddenly switch players, to improve your defensive positioning. get your controlled players to move into passing lanes (useless against the speed whores though as they are off to the byline for the pull back or missle pass to a head of the attacker....each and every time....is it really any fun fellas?)

I also us L2 + x it seems to help with my standing tackles, also square when close to a player helps make a challenge.

Formation online I was playing a deep D line, might change that to counter attack though. and hope I can use the left on the d pad to get their players offside, as im doing pretty well offline at it.

Tried the opposite. Last night got humped 4-0 against messi and co playing as ac Milan super defensive. Decided next game to play an attacking Milan side long ball to ibra to knock it down to robino my opponent couldn't get out of his own half destroyed him 3-0 going on 6. lol
