I was creating an entirely fictional league over the PES divisions, when a thought occured to me that when creating / editing teams - it would be great if we could assign rivals to each club.
The idea has been implimented in wrestling games in the past, where you can place rivals to a wrestler in preferred order to reflect current situations.
For my example I'll use United. Traditionally Liverpool have been United's arch enemies, but there has been a resurgence from the blue half that might put them in first spot in United's crosshairs. So what you would do is go to United's team edit page and select "rivals"
You would then have say, five slots to assign rivalries in order of ferocity, so United's might be:
1: City
2: Liverpool
3: Chelsea
4: Arsenal
5: Barcelona.
Then, in games involving these sides there would be special commentary lines, and a more vociferous atmosphere, to reflect the rivalry.
Any comments?
