Scored a belter against Palarse yesterday, had a great game. Nest he's had for us. Decent pre-season behind him, and a good man-manager and he'd be a cracking player.

The ability to score tap-ins is a vital part of being a striker. Having the presence of mind to lose your marker and get into space to score one is a fantastic ability to have. They don't look pretty, but they all count.

I think if we sign Porkin he'd do a good job, but you've called him back now he's got 3 in 3. Heard a £500k figure banded about, with possible add-ons, at first that seemed a bit mental. On thinking about it, I reckon it would be alright actually, I mean Howard from derby is a similar mould of player and he's there top scorer and Derby paid a million for him. In my mind, he'd get cult status just because of him being an old fashioned foward, who's very similar to some of the fans - prone to pies and beer! :laugh:

Deano is a legend! not fat at all and i think that 7 in 8 games speaks for its self as well as over 150 professional goals!

as for porkin he need to lose at least a stone cos he cant run? he is ok when he gets in the positions but seldom does because of his size. i reckon he would make a good league 1 player but dunno bout championship.

500k is a lot of money and id be very happy if we offloaded him to you for that much!

Can't get to Cardiff this weekend, but going get me QPR tickets soon - there'll be a cracking atmosphere there. Sadly though, looks like Periwank will be playing, as Beast has been recalled and Big Sid is injured. Mama's had 20 stitches in his achilles, after having a gash on his tendon. Although, he should be fit (of sorts) for the three games after Cardiff.
