Damien Duff is an excellent winger whos strengths and weaknesses I will now discuss.
First and foremost Damien Duff has pace to burn, with a quick acceleration right out of the starting blocks. He is comfortable running at defenders. What isnt so noticable though is his STRENGTH. For a person who is 177cm tall, he has good upper body strength. A dribble speed of 87, coupled with a balance value of 81 mean that ingame Damien can comfortably run at defenders, and his strength helps hold off challenges long enough for him to scoot away. In real life he is often seen to power his way round the outside of a defender. Good examples of this are his opening goal against Charlton last season, and at home to Wigan, where he showed how in a very small space he can use his pace and upper body strength to beat a defender.

In his passing game Damien is good along the floor, with accurate and solid passes. He is also a good crosser of the ball, able to deliver balls of different varieties. For example his cross for Didier Drogba's goal at home to Sunderland. This was a great example of Damien's ability to play a floated, lofted ball on to the strikers head.

Damien' shooting at times can be a little disapponting, but still generally solid. A shot accuracy of 79 is fair, as he occasionally pulls his shot wide or drags it, but generally finds the right spot. (Good example in Charlton at home this season, when he missed the target in a one on one situation.) He generates good power on his distance efforts but again sometimes his accuracy lets him down.

Damien has good set piece deliveries, often with pace and a bit of whip. He has high curling, and long pass values, and so can deliver free kicks and corners well, like his real life counterpart.

Good ball control. Keeps the ball close and has a good first touch.

Finally his team work stat. Its quite high as even though he takes defenders on, he still is aware of his team mates, and looks to play them in. If he beats one man, he doesnt get to carried away and invariably plays a sensible pass or cross

And so that is Damien Duff. Enjoy!
P.S. for the moment may we just halt requests. People have got a few down, and Ive still got a few of my own posts to put up, so that will keep me occupied for a while. Thanks everyone, good to see lots of interest in the thread. Will let people know when to start requests.

Phew! Damien Duff's taken a good 3 hours, but am very pleased with him. Right, off to bed now. Have a very busy day tomorrow. Will probably post up Wright Phillips, And am considering doing a feature on Lampard and Gerrard. In light of the World cup, and the problems regarding formation with England, thought it would be interesting to review these two players, and draw up comparisons. Would be good to try and illustrate ways of portraying different characteristics of players ingame. Would be good for the thread.

Joni Pistolas. At the moment I have frozen requests. If I am completely honest, I doubt I have the konowledge to do players from those sqauds. To do a player accurately you need to have extensive knowledge and watch the player regularly. The players I post up will be ones that i watch on a regular basis and have for years. I specialise really in Premier League stats really. Although I do watch spanish and Italian to a certain extent, I dont have time to follow it to the degree I could post complete player stats.

Also, waht do people think to the Lampard and Gerrard Idea I posted? Have finished Lampard just about, and am tweaking Gerrard as we speak.

So there we have Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, two of the best midfielders in the world. There are several points I would like to raise about each player.

Athleticiscm and stamina are some of the best features of these two players. Each player has an exceptionally high stamina rating, but Frank Lampard goes the whole way thanks to his quite frankly incredinle run of consecutive games.
You may think that there is hardly any difference between a rating of 98 and 99. Dont forget that in PRO EVO 5, only values 1 to 94 are ranked on a linear scale. Each value from 95 upwards represenents a signifacantly larger gap. (For example the difference between 96 and 97 is more than that of 81 and 82.) Each player also has a very high mentality figure, and stamina will affect there performance little. Steven Gerrard slightly edges it as you will occasionally see Frank Lampard easing up in the final few minutes. This means ingame in the last couple of minutes Frank wont make so much effort to get up and join an attack. Steven Gerrards performance in the F.A cup final proved he can pull out the goods even in stoppage time of an exhausting and gruelling match, hence the 95 in mentality. Each of the players has a fair leap on them, though you rarely see players putting a ball on to Lamps or Stevies Head! They both have high ratings in consistency and condition, but Frank earns the 8 due to his apparent immunity to injuries.

Steven Gerrard outdoes Frank Lampard when it comes to pace and speed. He is a classic example of what I like to call power running. He has a good acceleration, and when he gets in to his stride its brute force that carries him along. This also warrants his 84 in balance, as Steven Gerrard has a very powerful frame. Speed isnt Lampards greatest attribute but he does have solid running in real life, hence the 75 and 74 in top speed and acceleration respectivley. Again Steven Gerrard is definately faster on the ball, but Franks dribbling accuracy is slightly better. His dribbling is calculated and precise.

Passing and distribution are two key parts of Frank and Stevens game. Frank Lampard has excellent distribution. He plays speedy and accurate passes passes along the floor, and delightful long balls. He can hit lovely lofted balls first time, hence a high technique rating. He has the ability to play that cutting through ball, and that has earned him his playmaking star, as well as his general passing profiency. Steven Gerrard also plays nice balls along the floor, but you sometimes find that Gerrard will opt for a more cutting pass, but wont always succeed. Gerrard has unbelievablely good long balls, especially when playing them diagonally across the field. He can pick them out accurately, and deliver them with great pace, earning the 96 in long pass speed. Just look at Cisses goal in the F.A cup final. With these stats and a passing star each, they are both excellent passers ingame. You may wonder why I havent given Gerrard a playmaking star. Well Gerrard often trys to run at and around defenders, something you dont see Lampard do. A pass may be better suited, but ingame now Gerrard has the ability to power on a run which he sometimes does, hence no playmaking star.

Shooting is a definate strong point for both players. They are both accurate from distance, but Lampard is slightly better. Very occasionally Gerrard will send one waywards. Gerrard has more power in his shot though. His goals against West ham in F.A cup show the venom he has got, but Lampards shots are only a bit weaker. Finally, Lampard edges it in shot technique. He can get good shots off under pressure, such as against Everton at home, and Bolton away last season. Gerrard generally needs a bit more space to get the purist connection, and with his pace and power ingame, you generally find he has that.

The final two points I want to raise about these two great players are the aggression and teamplay stats. Aggression is a stat which only effects computer controlled players. It has a measure of how much they are willing to join an attack by moving forward. Now we all Know that Gerrard and Lampard are incredible at starting a move then making that well timed run into the box to finish the move. They both have a very high aggression stat, but Gerrards is slightly higher as he often finds himself in a deeper position, and we need to gie him that bit of an extra push to get forward. And teamwork. Lampard has the higher stat here by a fair bit. He is always passing, aware of his players positioning. When another player has the ball he works the space to either recieve the ball or create space for another player. Gerrard, like i said, is sometimes inclined to take on a defender. He still a great team player thats why he has a value of 82, but Lampard is pure teamplay, with passing central to his game.

Right there you go people. Lampard and Gerrard. Hope that comes in handy.

Djbigmore thankyou very much. Its nice to have a bit of positive feedback, especially after spending a good 4-5 hours, creating, testing, modifying and then posting up stats. You are in luck as Rooney is one of the next few I will be posting! Maybe thinking of doing a couple more comparisons aswell such as John Terry vs Rio Ferdinand. What do you reckon?

This is a quote taken from The official piggyback guide for PRO EVO 5:

1-touch pass - Despite its name, this star actually enhances a players ability to make first-time shots. "This is a little mistranslation," admits Seabass. "Its not a one-touch pass, its a more a direct volley shot, or rather, the accuracy of a direct volley shot. For one-touch passes, Technique is the important ability" (end qoute)

A good point about Crespo's two footedness though. I think maybe either a 7 0r 8 for accuracy, and a 6 or 7 for frequency. Its a difficult one to analyse, as Crespo is skilled with the outside of his boot, so occasions when he would maybe use his left, he would give a little flick with the right.

Thanks for the reply mate, and if you want to post anything up, feel free. What do you reckon to the other stats? I will maybe alter them, after testing them a bit more. Ive had maybe five games playing him and found he behaved very realistically, especially his movement.
ok u won lol

Right, there are two of my favourite wingers, Christiano Ronaldo and Shaun Wright Phillips. Two extremely promising talents, and as young as they are, they can only get better. Here are some points regarding their stats and playing style.

First, there physical build. Christiano is almost 20cm taller than Shaun so has an obvious advantage in the air. Ronaldo has well built neck and shoulders, so can get good headers with a fair bit of power. Has a very good leap as well, as his goal against Middlesborough showed. Heading is definately not Shauns strong point. This also counts against Shauns supposed ability to play full-back. Personally I think he needs to be bit taller to play that position.

Defensively, they are both poor. Christiano is slightly better, due to more strength he has. The penalty Shaun conceded away at Everton exposed Shauns weaknesses. First he lost the ball in a dangerous area. Now Shauns pace is exceptional, and he had no problems catching Arteta, but his lack of strength was exposed as he just couldnt get the ball. In the end Shaun demonstrates his general poor defensive ability with a sliding tackle. This happens occasionally, where Shaun loses the ball and gives away sily fouls with misjudged tackles. Christiano also gives away silly fouls with poor tackles, but this could be pinned down more to frustration. So a defence value of 46 for Shaun and 48 for Christiano mean you would be ill-advised to attempt slide tackles in threatening positions for the opponent, as there accuracy is poor.

Speed and acceleration are two very strong aspects of these two players. Shaun is unbelievably quick, (hailed as the fastest at Chelsea, which is saying something!) with exceptionally rapid acceleration. An acceleration of 96 means he can get on to loose balls very quickly, and a dribbling speed of 94 means on the ball he is lightning. Christiano is also very fast, with a top speed of 93 and a dribble speed of 91. One of Christianos advantages though, is that his upper body strength helps him POWER past defenders. Shaun has poor strength, so if defenders can bring him down with cynical fouls. With a response of 83 though, Shaun can make quick adjustments to body position so he can keep dodge defenders, and avoid contact. A last point is that Christiano's dribbling is a bit more accurate than Shaun's. Occasionally Shaun will take an awkaward touch, but his pace and body adjustment allow him to pull the ball back. Again, Christiano's technique is better, and a value of 96 allows him to achieve his stepovers ingame to a great degree of accuracy. Shauns value of 88 is also very good, but with a consistency of 6, this means very very occasionally he may take an awkward first touch, just like in real life.

Team work and passing, are something that varies between these two players. The most disappointing thing about Christiano is undoubtedly his end product. With all his tricks, he will sometimes try to go that that bit to far, and when he does get a cross in, its normally fairly average. Stats of 74 and 76 in the long pass categories mean he can produce a fairly good cross, but his consistency of 5 means some of them will be wayward. His short passing is along the same lines of his long passing. Generally OK, but occasionally misplaced. In a trail game to test the stats, I watched him misplace a pass, use his pace to get back on the opponent then gave a silly foul away. That made me smile! Shauns passing is better. Crisper and with more pace, Shaun can use his pace to get to the byline, and put in good cutbacks. His crossing is better than Christiano's. Often with pace, his balls can be accurate, to feet or head. His crosses for Crespos goal against Betis, and Joe Coles goal in the England match against Paraguay show this. Concerning teamwork, Christiano has quite a low value of 68. In game he often tries a little to much, getting himself in to a tough situation, and then misplacing a pass that would have been easier had he released 5 seconds ago. Shaun gets value of 80 for his awareness of positioning, and ability to make good passes in and around the box.

Finally shooting. This is something that both players need to improve on. Christiano can generate excellent power and movement on the ball, but sometimes his aim is slightly lacklustre. Shauns technique is slightly better as his quick blinding feet let him get a shot off in and amongst bodies, but he is slightly less accurate, and not able to generate quite as much power as Christiano. There are also moments when Christiano tries a shot at the wrong time, when a pass would be better. Again, this is portrayed in his low teamwork value.

Right there we go then, Ronaldo and Wright Phillips. I may post do The Terry and Ferdinand one this afternoon if I recover from this one!

To answer your question I think John Terrys a good idea although I feel Rio is really accurate in the game, but it will be interesting to compare yours with Pro Evos, good luck.
Have you ever thought about working on any of the newly promoted clubs, as in Reading and Watford? I'm trying to create those at the moment - I'm crap at it myself but I've managed to find some postings for players like Sidwell and Kitson but thats it. Just thought I'd ask on the off chance.

PS. Just to keep that list of yours topped up (lol), why don't you give Cristiano Ronaldo a go?
