Complete player editing - Momo Sissoko

To get players to look right ingame, its not just about their face. Its about all the possible parameters you can edit for them. For example physique, boots, dribbling style etc. But one the most important things to complete a players appearance is to get there STATS right. If a player doesn't behave ingame like his real-life counterpart, then its harder to believe your really watching them. Im going to post up a couple of examples, if people are interested, post up your own.

Not only am I posting in this thread, but we have the fabulous California clown posting appearances for us all. His index is also listed here.

And thats Hernan Crespo. Ingame, he know makes intelligent runs both direct and diagonally. As in real life, his pace isnt his strong point, but his ability to fire off quick, accurate shots under pressure is reflected in the stats.

ur creation is good but crespo is both-ffoted so i gave him 8 for both weaker foot accuracy/frequency thingys. plus, u say 1-touch-pass is for hitting direct volleys nd dat, well technique is the stat for that e.g. paul scholes' technique is in the 90's as he is very good at hitting first time volleys.

This is a quote taken from The official piggyback guide for PRO EVO 5:

1-touch pass - Despite its name, this star actually enhances a players ability to make first-time shots. "This is a little mistranslation," admits Seabass. "Its not a one-touch pass, its a more a direct volley shot, or rather, the accuracy of a direct volley shot. For one-touch passes, Technique is the important ability" (end qoute)

A good point about Crespo's two footedness though. I think maybe either a 7 0r 8 for accuracy, and a 6 or 7 for frequency. Its a difficult one to analyse, as Crespo is skilled with the outside of his boot, so occasions when he would maybe use his left, he would give a little flick with the right.

Thanks for the reply mate, and if you want to post anything up, feel free. What do you reckon to the other stats? I will maybe alter them, after testing them a bit more. Ive had maybe five games playing him and found he behaved very realistically, especially his movement.

So now that is Chelsea's two prominent strikers. These changes mean ingame you get distinct and realistic differences between the two of them.

Strength - Drogba is undoubtedly the stronger and has excellent hold up play. Crespo has improved strength wise through his second premiership season. He stands up more and is harder to knock off the ball than in his first premiership season.

Pace - Again Drogba definately has an edge in pace to Crespo. Coupled with his strength this means when he gets going Drogba is a handful for defenders. Defenders would be fooled in thinking they can get a half yard on Crespo though. His movement, and precise runs, mean that hes gone before defenders realise even though his pace isnt that great.

Passing - Neither of the twos strongest point, but each get the job done.

Shooting/Scoring - Crespo here is the clearly better. His accuracy and ability to fire off quick shots with zero backlift makes him lethal in the box. He can pack a punch as well, for example his goal against Wigan. All he needs is half a yard to curl a shot into the corner. Drogba on the other hand almost always opts for power. He often miss cues shots, and sends some flying in the crowd.

Aerial Ability - A strong point for both Crespo and Drogba, though they enjoy success in different ways. Crespo again relies on his movement to get himself in front of the defender and is accurate with his headers. A good example of this is Charlton away. Drogba on the other hand is all about power. He will outleap any defender and attack the ball with force leaving keeper with no chance. Great example of this was Sunderland at home, rising head and shoulders above his marker.

Favoured foot - Crespo is very much two footed. I could reel off cracking goals scored with his left and right foot. Drogbas left foot is also not bad, but not to the standard of Crespo's.

There you go, Drogba and Crespo. Take into consideration these points and then try them out in game. Any feedback, positive or negative, is greatly appreciated.

Handy!

Jesus! I never actually considered Crespo and Drogba's stats to that extent but lookin at your stats I must say they look incredibly accurate! Im pretty confident they will turn out great!

Arjen Robben

Thanks very much Gernaldo! Im just about completely satisfied with them, still not 100% sure about the pace issue. Been watching tons of footage of both of them from last couple of season reviews and think Crespo may have slightly more pace than i gave him.

But anyway, here is another blues player Ive been working on and have just about finished.

*Dribbling, Tactical dribbling, Reaction, Side

Arjen Robben has excellent technical ability. With the stats assigned here, his pace and control are reflected superbly in game. His first touch is excellent, hence the 95 in technique. His goals against Everton in the F.A cup and Portsmouth are great examples. His pace is another great asset to him. His dribble accuracy reflects his regular subtle, gentle touches on the ball, keeping it constantly under control. This coupled with a dribble speed, that is virtually the same as his top speed means you get the feeling the ball is somewhat stuck to his feet, just like in real life.

The teamwork stat of 70 illustrates how Arjen Robben sometimes opts to attempt to take on defender when a simple pass may be better suited. This doesnt happen quite so much now, hence still a fairly high stat, yet it gives a realistic output of his decisions.

Finally, the dribbling stars were simply essential. Watching a com controlled match, Arjen was constantly looking to take on defenders and often succeeded.

Your stats are fantastic i've just added them in and they play completely like real life, are you taking any requests for statmaking? because i think you would do a very good job.

Captain Cabinet - thank you very much, its very gratifying. I will shortly be taking requests, but I am very busy at the moment. Have a few more Chelsea players I will post up, then will start taking requests. At the moment, Im concentrating on Premiership stats. I simply do not have time to follow all the leagues! Thankyou, and will let you know when to start requesting. If you want you can give me a couple now, but I wouldnt have them ready that quick.

Nick Pring - Yes I do have a few more Chelsea players to post up. You can expect Damien Duff and Shaun Wright phillips soon. Anyway, how do you find the stats? Positive or negative feedback is always welcome.

This would be fantastic, basically im looking for an updated portsmouth squad stats as we have been in a whole lot better from during the closing weeks of last season so any of portsmouths players that you could update would be highly appreciated, i realise this would take you a very long time but any you can do would be fantastic

Ok. Im thinking of maybe going through each of the teams individually, so I could maybe do Portsmouth players.

I think I may have a basic set of stats for Lee Bowyer, but nothing I have finalised. I will keep him in mind.

Please realise I am not promising. I should be able to do them once Ive posted Duff and Shaun Wright Phillips, providing Ive got suffivient time. It takes a lot of time to get a player spot on. Also just wanted to say thank you for thinking Im good enough to request from. So thank you!

Yes very true Anders. But the player creation centre is also generally used for editing existing players within the game.

anders

Registered User
Fair enough, but you've made drogba far too good on the game, his touch is awful but you've got his technique and dribble accuracy really high!

bagrunnell

Registered User
Anders I appreciate your point about Drogba. His touch is not world class, but is good. Yes he does have moments where his touch lets him down, but generally its ok. This is why 70 is a good rating for technique. Drogbas problem is CONSISTENCY. So Drogba is capable of performing first touches of a good standard, but every so often he has a bad one. This can be highlighted in the game at home to Everton this season. This is why I have given Drogba a lower consistency level. This affects many things ingame, and first touch is one of them. So pairing his technique and consistency value together mean ingame, Drogbas touch is good, NOT SPECIAL, and that every so often, he will miscontrol it and lose the ball. A good example of what he is capable of is his goal against West Ham away.

Regarding his dribble accuracy, 73 is just right. Dribble accuracy measures how often a player touches the ball. A higher rating means they touch the ball more frequently, keeping it under closer control. 73 means ingame Drogba keeps the ball under a good amount of control, but if he mistimes a touch then he gives the ball away easily. Couple this with his consistency value, and you see how sometimes he takes a heavy or weak touch, leaving him succeptable to challenges.

This is a really good idea mate.

Any chance of posting info on players like John Obi Mikel, David Villa and Steven Gerrard? (They're just some players that I feel aren't represented well in the game)

Cheers if possible.

Dan.
