Forgive me father for I have sinned.

Yes I realise I am opening myself up to a (deserved) barrage of insults but I wanted to come clean.

Over the last 2 days I have lag cheated. Around 5-6 times. Why have I done this? OUT OF SHEER FRUSTRATION.

Some background: I had NO IDEA what lag cheating was before this week. If I have ever been winning and suddenly:

'This match has been abandoned as the connection significantly worsened.'

I honestly assumed that I had just got really unlucky and Konami had screwed me, not the other person. I didn't realise that players could actually force this action. Then it started to get more frequent. And only when I was winning. So I looked into it here, and yes I see that 'Lag Cheating' is a common motherf*cker!

How is it done? Simple. Open up something on your laptop which uses the majority of your bandwidth allowance.

Now before I knew any of this, I loved MLO. I have worked my way up to a rating of around 680 and my team is worth over $300m - so pretty decent I think.

Now that I am aware of Lag Cheating, my game is totally ruined. I seriously fear going 2-0 up in a game because I think, I'm going to get cheated - and yes very often I am. What a joke.

So how do I react? F*ck it, I will do the same. If I don't get the cash and rating increase for what would have been a win, why should I only take losses?

Yes I realise I am adding to the problem, and innocent people are getting cheated, but how else do I combat it? It's bullsh*t and the only one to blame is Konami for allowing this disgusting loophole on the game.

It should be that anyone who instigates this takes the loss. There should be a panel to decide at all times. Or even a simple bit of coding that says after 70 minutes, if this happens, the winner is declared based on the current score.

I apologise to the users who I have lag cheated against. I gain zero satisfaction from it. I am a naturally competitve person and hate cheating. I now hate MLO as I realise the rankings are based on a complete farce.

I bet you enjoy playing cheaters so often because you have a poor disconnection ratio.
If you have an A' rating you will hardly ever face cheaters and that's going off the PC version where cheating is much more prevalent.

Wow...that's quite an admission. Personally I'd sooner come out to my parents, tell all my beloved I had a terminal disease and go out with a notice strapped to myself about it all than come out with something like that.

Why do laggers play the game? To win or to play the game? What's the point in lagging until it disconnects- to improve your rating? Why? What will your rating do for you before the next version comes out again? Are you gonna get money for it, fame and fortune because you have a decent rating and team?
I have experienced this soooo many times, I check a players stats before the match and you can almost tell already, then if you take the lead you see it begin- we've all been there. I've been hammering players supposedly rated 800+ and just knowing what's coming. My own rating would be much higher if those were included, but why? I sometimes enjoy a good match that I lose more than a poor match that I win, it's about enjoying the actual game!!
Sometimes it frustrates me so much I'm near tears- sad I know but tehre ya go.

Just. Don't. Lag.

AND I CAN ONLY SAY ONE THING I LOST 4 MATCHES ON A DAY WHICH A NEVER LOST IN ANY PES ONLINE AND I HAD TO ADMIT I LOST THEM FAIRLY BUT I ALSO SUPPOSED TO HAVE 9 WINS GUESS WHAT --->

ALL I CAN HOPE THAT IN PES 2014 THEY WILL REMOVE THIS OPTION OF LAGGING CHEAT

You mean you really think its ok to cheat just because someone else has done it to you?!

I got stabbed at random a few years back, does that mean it's ok for me to go round cutting innocent people just because someone did something bad to me?! (bit OTT I know but same reasoning and true btw)
Your moral compass is way off if you truly believe this, play the game to enjoy it not to win. Much rather enjoy losing a 10-9 match than win 1-0 by lagging and passing it round the defence for 90mins

I had an experience with it twice tonight. Two players, both with high ratings and superstar teams. I have quite a strong team but had nowhere near the level that these two guys had. I was winning 2-0 and 3-1 respectively and then that stutter starts to happen at around the 60th-70th minute mark and the game cuts off. The result is deemed void. :no:

I sent the guys a coupla messages, threatening that I was gonna report them to Konami and their Pro accounts would soon been banned, knowing full well that there is no reporting mechanism and they won't be banned. I guess I was just trying to scare them, hoping that they were more ignorant than me and they would see the error of their ways.

Anyway, I guess I'm hoping that this issue is fixed for PES 14. I haven't the slightest idea about coding or software programming but I hope there is some sort of system to prevent lag cheating in the new Pro. Perhaps an hour penalty from playing if you disconnect once, a two hour penalty if it happens again when you log on. That would prevent the cheaters from playing at all, and if they wanted to play for any considerable time they would have to play by the rules like the rest of us. I dunno. Just an idea. I just hope Konami do something to alleviate the problem.

I just had to get that off my chest. /vent

I think he was a honest cheater he fully explained the reasons that drive him in at this sinful behavior!? So is hard to blame him for this action.

I also must welcome the new, potential cheater Shinobi123 and Redmau5 with some bright anti cheat methods to the pess family. For the new 2014 version I personally wait to see the new mistakes that will make us all wish Konami to fix in the next version and the next version and the next version. Sometimes i feel they doing on purpose to make us all wait the new wonder to arrive, is it today, is it tomorrow?

Bottom line there is always the solution that damion posted in other threads "Just stop playing it online because it's absolute shit. Problem solved"

Once again another online version of Pes ruined by cheaters. Because of the shit servers (never once lost connection from psn) i kept losing connection which gave me a courtesy rating B - noe i have to play cheaters all the time, i cant ever win and because i keep getting lag chested I can't get my courtesy rating back to A. All I can do is try to weed out cheaters by putting everyone I plauy ona B kevel on my block list. It is a spiral of catch 22 shitness and i totaly blame Konami again - well done for not fixing the biggest online issue that has bugged this game for years. Absolute bullshit! I will never lag cheat but last year I stopped playing Pes very early and this year I think it will beeven sooner. Might play GTA5 seeing as I have been on this all day and not been allowed to register a win. GTA5 could be enjoyable cause the truth is this is not! Lag cheaters just fuck off we all hate you!
