Corners - how to score?..

How do you score on corners on PES 13? No matter how good corner the header is ALWAYS over. Its the same with every player(im Arsenal) from Giroud, Vermealen to Walcott and Gervinho. EVERY one has the exactly same bad header over the goal. Have to be something else than just press the shoot button...

Yeah, right now I am experiencing the same problem, every header I make, even a free one will find it's way miles over the bar. That is why I take every corner short and look for opportunities with fast one touch passing. This usually opens up the defence and you can most likely find a through ball through.

Use manual shot for the header. It does a proper header then and none of that crappy just loop over the bar. Hold the right trigger (on 360 at least) on some corners because it puts them in as a high cross and the goalkeepers sometimes drop these, it's also good if you've got a tall attacker. I couldn't score a thing just doing headers normally but with manual headers I've scored loads of goals with tall strikers on crosses and corners.

in my opinion headers from corners are largely based on luck, but the amount of space the player has when heading helps to determine his accuracy. As much as possible, try to send the corner to an unmarked teammate. When he has a free header on goal, it will usually be powerful and accurate.
Manual headers works too, though i find it a little troublesome to activate it.

I struggled with headers from corners, but I sussed when I press square to shoot to only move the joystick a small bit in the direction I want to aim my header, I score a lot more. If held far over as possible in any directoon the ball always skied it. So a quarter of the travel the stick can go is working fine for me. If that makes any sense?

try calling for a short corner, it brings the man and his defender out and leaves space near the front post and just swing the corner into that area

I use short corners. I'd say I score on about 1 out of every 10 or 15 corners--about the same as the AI taking his corners long. Plus you get to feel like Barcelona.

Pro tip- When you get a corner, go to the formation screen and send three of your defenders up. Wait until they are just entering the box and then cross so they come onto the ball with momentum It's a hassle having to wait and you will concede a few getting outnumbered in defence but you'll score more than you concede.

Hold the opposite direction you are heading the ball.
