I think most of us have noticed that it is much more difficult to score from headers in PES2 than in PES1, but this little hint should help.

Instead of just heading towards goal to score, try heading with x (pass header). Nodding the ball down to another player that is lurking in the box usually works well for me, especially if you've got someone like Scholes or Keane waiting for a pop!:)

From a corner, hit it long (just outside of the far side of the box) and then try to head it back into the box. Hopefully one of your players will get it or the keeper will punch it away and you'll get the rebound. Nice:D

Nice idea.
I usually have tried it from open play and free kicks.

And don't forget a long throw to be headed on by a striker before a shot.

I have a nice way to score easily corner goals. You only need a player with high "long-pass-accuracy" stats (like Karpin) to throw the corner and a center back with high "header" stats. If you play with two CB one of them will try to score in left side corners and the other in right side corners.

You don't have to move the aim point of the player who is going to kick the corner. Just use a little bit more than half of the throw power ( O ), and wait for a mili-second before using [] with the CB to header the ball and score (another) goal.

Hope this will help.

I've started to hold down the R2 button (or is it the L2 - can't remeber right now!) while i shoot to make higher corner kicks. This way the ball is kicked sooo much higher that you can let the aim be where it is from the beginning and then curve it towards the faraway post – where one of your players can head it across (with X) to one of your other players – who then might be able to score. When the ball comes in high like this, the keeper won't almost never be able to reach it.

Another way to aim your corner (using this high cross) is almost straight down the goalline and curve it away from goal. As before, the keeper won't be able to reach the ball, because it comes in way too high for him, but drops down quickly to your player who will be waiting at the far post to head a cross using the X-button.

thats great but i know the perfect way to curl a corner kick into the back of the net. alll you have to do is use more than half of the arrow bar and keep triangle pressed. make sure to angle the ball so it curls into the net.

I've noticed that if you wait until the ball is almost on your head you seem to get more power and direction. But I still love it when the ball just bounce off my player without doing anything. And how is it in aerial challenges my players can fall over and be "stunned" for infinity and the com never has that prob?

This isnt so much from corners but from general play.
If you put a through ball or a pass through to a player on the wing if you play a first touch cross you are much more likely to find a free head in the box, thus scoring alot more easily unmarked

Is there anyone here who has played the US version of Winning Eleven (or the renamed version of PES2 from what I understand) that can give some advice on Free-Kicks and Corners?

I've been stymied as of late. All the free-kicks i've taken have either gone sailing over the net or smacked into the wall. A bit dissapointing really.

Are you using Beckham? Surely they couldn't have changed the game in any way and the engine must be the same? If ur using Becks I can help a bit...

Yes indeed i'm using Beckham. I'm fairly sure it's 90% because I just suck, so there's always room for improvement.

Zyg is right... I was just looking at it and all the answers are there. But just as a quick start... under 24m hold/left and hit 2/3-3/4. Over 24m to 33m push up and right and again hit 3/4 and once over the wall push down.
