Crosses

Lord Shrimpeh

When ever i do a cross it seems to go towards goal can anyone tell me what im doing wrong! Its annoying.......except for that time i scored from a cross and it won me the division 1 cup semi final of course :)

when about to deliver a cross running at full peg slow down for greater accuracy

also try and face the box

thats about it

like Mutu said, try facing the box before you cross, and slow down slightly to add accuracy, i try to turn back (not facing the way your attacking) and cross near the edge of the box, it will go slightly towards the keeper, but some one usually gets their head on it!

I find that holding L1 down to force the pass to be a cross seems to imrove the accuracy on it.

Also don't forget that pressing O twice will aim for the nearer of two strikers in the middle and pressing it three times will drive the ball along the floor.

There's no subsitute for a good crosser of a ball though. In master league many players go for players with high speed but I find long pass accuracy and long pass speed on my wingers make a huge difference to the number of goals my strikers score.

Crossing with your players wrong foot is a bad idea too.

On pes3 one of my favourite attacks is to get to the bi-line around about halfway between the edge of the penelty area and the six yard box and do a dooble O cross. If you have a strike with post player skills you'll get lots of near post diving headers in.

Is the heading improved in PES3 compared to WE7? It is really difficult to score from a header in WE7 (too difficult in fact!) and I hope it's improved slightly in PES3. Anyone??

Nice! I'll soon be getting my copy of PES3 (too busy trying to patch WE7 at the mo!) and I can't wait. Cheers Zygalski.

when - as you say - it's really dificult to score from a header in WE7, in PES3 it's way too easy - make me feel that crossing is simply unbalaced - about 80 - 90 % of cross end with goal = WE7 is better balanced

i think its a bit too easy to score from headers.

i beat argentina 3-0 with brazil and they were ALL headers.

giggsy, thats just how you play then. i tend to stay nearer the centre most of the time. its so satisfying to score from an age long build up and then to finish it with a chipped through pass and a slot into the bottom corner. also if you do this youre more likely to get free kicks in dangerous areas (or penalties if youre good enough to keep position long enough to frustrate the CPU, or a slightly less disciplined friend)

i agree mate.

sometimes when i score a header i'm a bit annoyed!!

but still, 3 headers against argentina is shows its a bit easy.

i prefered the way they headered on pes2, and pes3 would be so much better if they included the old animations from pes2 as well as the new ones from pes3.

at times i play short pass too much that when i can cross i refuse to, i tend to think that crossing and scoring from headers is sort of making use of a bug, and that i win the com unfairly. am i sick? :(
