Data Pack 1 Released

If the online squad database was correct, and i assume that it was not, but they claim it is, then this fix should take 5 seconds to implement.

This has to be that Konami doesn't want to pay for another upload to Microsoft or Sony right now.

For any confusion:

Hello. Thank you for contacting KONAMI Customer Support.

Please be aware that we have confirmed that applying Data Pack 1.0 (DP1.0) causes overwriting of the edited data of player appearances (Face, Hairstyle and Physique).

Also, please be informed that in order to keep using the edit data created before applying DP1.0, users can salvage the data when DP2.0 is released.

That being said, please do not delete the [Backup Edit Data] that is made up when applying DP1.0 as it is necessary for salvaging.

Furthermore, please avoid editing data before applying DP2.0, because the edited data that created after applying DP1.0 will be deleted when DP2.0 is applied.

For more information regarding this matter, you may refer to the link below:

We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but we hope for your kind understanding regarding this matter.

Hey quick question guys. When I was prompted to click update club/national sqauds during the Datapack install I clicked them off (I was still copy basing players/loading kits/rivals/stadiums etc) but now that I am done I would like to get transfers up to date (well aug. 30..) How would I do this or am I screwed?

Thanks... The question remains, is this really necessary?

Because if you don't it will use that pre DP1 backup file to update so you will definitley lose any editing you do between now & DP2.

DP2 may still delete everything but this way at least gives a chance of saving edits made between the 2 DP's

Okay now I understand (I hope so :)) ... I'm editing now from DP1 to DP2, and will erase the Backup Data, so my actual edited Data will be still there after updating to DP2.0... RIGHT??

We don't know until DP2 is released, but if you want to edit anything then I think this is the only way to do it

Who can tell us that deleting the backed-up data won't make DP2 reset to the data there's available (that is none), and therefore resetting the changes to a default stage?

Ali

It is happening again
Konami will cock it up somehow. It won't reset the faces, but it will reset everything else - kits, master league, console/PC, your life etc etc.

**Urgent PS4 version**

I don't want to be annoying but I am not sure what to do! I did let DP update download BUT I did not click the update Club/National team sqauds (aka the transfers until 08/30) so I could finish copy base players that would have vanished/ done prelim work on BPL/bundesliga etc/Kits/etc... But now I want the transfers to be in place (so get that part of the DP) How would I do that? My guess is to back up edit data to usb, delete game, reload game and import edit data ?

Thanks,

That sounds rather drastic. I think you should be able to get the transfer updates by just going to Edit->Transfer and hitting reset (triangle button). Haven't tried it on PS4, but it worked like a charm on PS3 last year or the year before.

That is possible & if that is the case I will just fix up the kits/names again & not bother editing any fake teams this year.

I think it will have to make another backup edit data file before adding DP2 otherwise anyone that buys the game between now & DP2 will lose any edits they make, causing more pissed off people.

Apparently the squads for the Euro 2016 game / DLC will only be up to date as of Euro 2012..

What I don't get is why Konami are never direct about what their data packs will do. Surely it's not because they don't know??
Why can't they just do some sort of press release that tells us exactly what will be changed? Needless to say, I've had no reply to my tweet asking for details.

Don't hold your breath pal. I asked for ages where can I find out the differences between PS4 and Ps3 versions. Never any response. Imagine a car dealership not telling you the difference between a top of the range model and the basic one.

I'm only a paying customer.

I won the Brazilian championship on PS3, on ML, there was a celebration scene and my players were crowded round thin air. No trophy. Anyone else experienced this on old gen?

If i install these new data packs from konami, will it wipe all the kits/emblems etc from the option file i used?

Has anyone else noticed that you can intercept far too easily goalkicks and freekicks? The keeper/players from the other team will go short a lot and you can nick the ball, scored too many this way.
Though i suppose i could not do it.
But patch it Konami!

Data packs will only reset players nationalities, transfers you may have done manually and teams you may have switched leagues from / to.
Kits and emblems shouldn't be affected although I would never put my hand on fire regarding what Konami does with their patches and data packs.

i thought i read elsewhere on this site that kits and emblems defaulted back to the original after the update; but i am lost in the shuffle of news
